  1. I say from here on out do questions and review the rationales. And if you feel like going over your books just read HESI hints (very helpful!!). The day before, just relax or if you feel that you must study set up a time when to stop studying (like 3pm or whatever is more convenient for you, just as long as you are well rested before the exam). i took the HESI as well and i only scored an 895 and i passed nclex on the first attempt (with 75 Qs). i had a 3-week study plan for nclex and all i did was 100 questions everyday from saunders. Relaxation is key! try not to stress out about the scores you receive on practice tests (because my scores were similar to yours). i'm sure you'll do fine. good luck!!!
  2. Don't freak out. just stay calm and relax. i know it's easier said than done... cuz i too was freaking out before taking the nclex. anyways i only had one lab value as well... Potassium. However, these were the values that i studied: ABGs BUN & Cr H&H, RBC, WBC, PLT Electrolytes: Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus Therapeutic levels of Dig, Theophylline, and Lithium. i hope this helps. good luck!
  3. Don't worry the question will state if they want a whole number or a decimal. =)
  4. i guess the feeling varies with people. usually in most cases the more difficult the questions are, it's an indicator that you are passing. but in my case i thought the whole test was pretty basic, especially the last few questions. i walked out of the test pretty confident, but as the days passed i started doubting myself and i was pretty sure that i failed. i was devastated until i got the results today. it turns out that i passed at 75! good luck!
  5. i think if your scoring 80-90% on kaplan you're ready. well i think for kaplan, passing is 65 and above. everyone's right, there's no way you can ever be fully prepared because there will be things on the test that you have probably never seen or heard of before (not to scare you or anything). Just relax, don't stress, and take your time. =) all i did to prepare for nclex was 100 questions a day from Saunders. I didn't read through any book, just 100 questions. and i just recently found out i passed at 75. good luck to you. i'm sure you'll do fine. =)
  6. the past 4 days had definitely been dreadful. i took the nclex on the 17th and the computer shut off at 75 and i was feeling pretty good also in disbelief because i didn't think i can pull off a pass at 75. I would check the CA BRN website every day after (even though i knew that results would post at least 3 days after). Each and everyday, my confidence dropped. Third day came, i checked the computer, NOTHING. I was crying my eyes out. i had even started writing out my new study plan, thinking that i had failed. I did not want to fail another test (I failed the HESI 3x and finally passed the 4th). As depressed as i was yesterday, i still had hope. anyways, i went to sleep but it's so hot here in california that i kept tossing and turning until i decided to just get up and go online (this was 3 o'clock this morning). I went to the BRN website and TA DA.... i saw my name!!!!!!!!! for those that are waiting for results, just hang in there. i can't tell you to try to forget about it, cuz i definitely did not do that. i mean how can you not think about a test that you've been studying for for months (years... if you count nursing school). but go out, have fun... if you can't get it out of you're mind... at least make the days go by faster. =) good luck to everyone taking the test.
  7. hello all! i took my nclex on the 17th awaiting my results. throughout the whole time i kept telling myself i'm gonna pass at 75. and all of sudden it stopped at 75 and i started panicking. i honestly don't know what to think. i'm kinda leaning more to the optimistic side... but it's just so hard to stay optimistic when you have to wait for your results. anyways.... What i understand is that CA brn posts results within 3-5 days on the website? has anyone from California, who took the test on June 17th, find out anything yet? i've been looking at the website almost everyday. i've completely psyched my self out so much that i feel soo sick of thinking about and waiting for the results. i'm afraid to look at the website tomorrow. this is so stressful! i wish we can do quick results because i would have been able to check the results right now. stressed out and confused!!!!!!
  8. i just took the nclex on the 17th. i kept telling myself and kept hoping that the test would stop at 75, and it did!!!! but now that it did stop at 75 i feel like i've passed with flying colors or failed horribly. i'm sooooo confused and my anxiety level has never been so high because of all this waiting for the results. i've been trying so hard to keep myself busy but it's hard because it's summer, i'm not working and it's sooo hot in California right now to even do anything. I wish California participated in the quick results service through pearsonvue, because i would be able to check to today.. and i heard it would take 3-5 days to check it on the CA BON website. (that's one more day!!! i can't wait anymore). i hope i passed.
