i know what you mean. i was going to wait until my kids got out of school but i was so anxious to start. they are both in private school. that alone makes me have to keep the paychecks rolling in. at least they are teens. not much longer to go! i will finish the same time they graduate.

HI Illusion, I also just passed the spring 10 semester. I work full time at a hospital and it was tough because you have less time to study. Sometimes just making it to the classes was enough to wear you out. But chin up! It can be done! It is harder But If I can do it anyone can! You just have to pace yourself and set aside study time each day. Even when those days end at 10pm. Getting in at least one hour when you get home can make all the difference in the world. I think I am ready for it to be over. APies are really exhausting me thus far. Everything else seems to be going okay. Those clinicals that I looked sooo forward too are long days. I had no idea they would move so slowly.

You mean even though we are on nights and weekends there will be instances where we are expected to be there during the day. That will be next to impossible for me!

Since our first month has gone by things are a little easier to me. I did pass my first test but barely. Now I understand what the tests will be like and what I am looking for study wise. Several of my friends didnt pass the first Foundations test. I did find several of the questions really confusing. To be honest I was hoping for another snow day. I could use the rest.

I was wondering the same. Im Bipolar. I didnt realize it would ever come up?!

Oh I am confused about where to look on the website for this that and the other. I am concerned about what is due when...The information you get those first few days is a lot. I think I am getting a better handle on it already. If I can just get my APA formatting down I will be in business. While I am thinking about it, in D & S there are days were it says we are 'off-ground.' Those days we do not come to class at all right? We just work from home?

Okay gang, we are there, It has begun. And My excitement has faded to bewilderment. I have no idea what is going on! Im so lost!

I took my CNA classes thru Mid South Community College in West Mphs Ark. I love the small classes and the pace we went along at. My schedule was every Saturday for one semester. 8-3pm. Some of those days were long but it was worth it. I passed my state exam with flying colors! The instructors are great. The classes are less expensive there than most places I looked. Hope this helps.

What? are you serious? Snowstorm? They are only predicting 1-3 inches of snow! I was barely able to contain myself as it were! Now I have to wait til Monday?

Can anyone tell me what happens at orientation? Is that when you pay? I am trying to get my finances in order and my financial aid seems to be held up. Will financial aid pay directly to the school or to me? Im worried Orientation time (the 7th) will roll around and I wont have a clue as to what I am to pay or getting booted out of a class because of the inability to pay on that day. Any hints?

Thanks Bluff City, I found that little piece of info as I was driving to the one on Poplar, (Whew!) I went to the correct one on Distribution Drive. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Very nice people there. It was no biggie and I think it was 40.00. Jenn

I got lucky, There is a CPR/AED/BLS class here at work today and they squeezed me in. One step closer!

I was going to do the drug test listed on the sheet that is on Poplar avenue. I thought they said it was 35.00 and they send the results to the school. I am doing my physical tomorrow as well. I did my background check too. All of these extra fees right here at Christmas is really killing me and my mate as well. I forgot all about the CPR course. We have it here at work but do not have a class starting before the 10th of Jan. Can you tell me where you are taking yours?

Hey Nikki, I was in the same boat you are in. They would not consider me as an applicant untill I had all my precourse work in and a final grade. They use your final grade to measure your index score. If you still have not completed Micro by the October 15th deadline they will not consider you in the applicant pool. It sucks I know. I had to wait a whole year just to apply. maybe you can get them all taken if you take some in the summer sessions? What about online? One of my problems was getting into the classes. They were always full the minute registration opened up! I went to Mid South community college in west mphs because the demand for those classes (AP I & II, Mircro) were less and I got in with no problem at all. I hope this helps. Good Luck to you! Jenn
