  1. Mine are at Memorial. Let me know how your first day goes!
  2. The patient I was putting the foley in was moaning in pain from a surgery and tears were falling every time I touched her leg to position it. I think that is what overwhelmed me so much. The IV patient had very little feeling in the arm I was putting the IV in so it worked out. Keep me posted on your adventures in clinicals.
  3. Hello everyone I just had to share with you guys my clinical day this week. I put in my first foley and my first IV on real people. I was so nervous I was shaking and I almost started crying. It is kinda funny how nervous I was looking back on it. Whew, I am so glad my first are over.
  4. I could not have said it better. Simulations for Tue. is coming far to soon. I feel like my brain is so full of information that it will soon come leaking through my ears. I am so exhausted.
  5. I'm guess I am weird too I also like the math part. I finished the dosage calc today and am pleasantly surprised how well it went.
  6. In our book Subcut stands for subcutaneous, but in our Dosage independent study I see SQ. I think they are using SQ as the abbreviation for subcutaneous in our study guide am I right?
  7. i'm behind also. i just did the first one and thought the same thing about both of those answers.
  8. Mine came with batteries already in it. Three AAA batteries included.
  9. I am trying to organize myself and I have a question for all of you already in the program or any of you starting with me that may know. Is Dosage Calc and IV calc taught in our Nursing Techniques class? Is Medical Terminology taught in our Nursing Concepts class?
  10. melanie. this is awful news. you are such a wonderful woman with a lot of drive. just know that it is never the final say. i know you will make it happen if not this semester than next.
  11. Hey I just got home from getting all my books and I think I missed one. What does the front cover of the Laboratory & Diagnostic Tests with Nursing Implications look like? I am going to hate to have to drive out to North campus again for one book if I am missing it. Thanks
  12. I just saw that and am feeling even more pressure now. I am starting to feel more nervous and unprepared the closer day one is. We just have to keep telling ourselves that we can and will get through these 4 semesters. I am picking up my box with the books today and know that is going to overwhelm me even more. I am feeling very defeated today and I need to turn this around STAT! That always makes me feel better when I get to say STAT.
  13. So I am starting to freak out about having no life for 4 semesters. I need to get outside as much as possible for the next two weeks before I am stuck inside studying. I have planned a trip to the Jax Beach pier for fishing, a reggae sunday at the couch house, a suns game, a night at urban golf, and a river cruise in st. Augustine. I hope after all those days I will be refreshed for classes to start. I was so excited and suddenly I am just extremly nervous for it all to start.
  14. Did you guys that looked at your blackboard community info pay for your classes already? When I click on any of the document info to try and print it, it gives me a message that says Access to the specified resource () has been forbidden. Any one else having this problem or know how I can fix it?
  15. Congrats! I live off st. johns Bluff so we are not to far away from each other. I'm so happy for you that you are in!
