Hello. I am wound care nurse for the past 5 years and have been in a Long Term Care/Subacute setting. I recently got hired as wound care nurse educator at a hsopital setting. I am having diffculty with the new fast paced environment that I am in now. One day the patient is in, the next day either they were transferred to another unit or have been discharged. I do a lot of chart audits and I am having trouble with how the nurses do their documentations. I ahve educated them proper documentation and risk for not doing so but doesn't seem to work. Thank you.

I am considering a case management position at an insurance company. I know it's a lot different from at the bedside, but can someone give me an idea how satisfying can this field be? The position I am eyeing on does not do field work, telephonic and web based only. I am also a new nurse, just started working a year ago. I don't know if this a right move for me. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I was at PCMH about three weeks ago for shadowing in MIU. I loved it there. It's huge facility. I asked people working there and all i heard was positive feedback. I will be moving to Greenville in a month. I am excited to start orientation there. Ratio is 1:4, and almost everything that you need is within your area (they call pod). Everyone's nice too.

Actually, I am checking out this property in Ayden. Just a little concerned about flooding, and it seems like it has way too much space for me. Do you know how bad flooding is in Ayden?

Thanks for the info. We are going to move to Greenville in July. I have read so much posts from people about NC, and not all of them are good news. I don't want to doubt the decision that I have made. Now we're trying to decide where to live. There are several suggestions that I got: Winterville, Ayden or some areas of Greenville. My husband would like to live in the country side. He wants his space. All I care about is the school where my boys are gonna go. It's going to be a big adjustment for them, so I want to make sure they will like it there. As I think about relocating, there's so much to do. I hope I have enough time to prepare.

Hello! I graduated June 2010 and started working in NY in August. I work in a vent unit in Bronx, NY and now considering to move to Greenville, NC. I went to PCMH last week for shadowing and it was a wonderful experience. The facility is great, but the salary is not so great. But I have to say I am comparing it to my salary in NY. It's a huge cut, but like what most people have said, cost of living is lower than NY/NJ. Anyway, I need some information on best area to live in Greenville, NC. I have two boys going to high school and I was wondering what school is best for them. I need as much information that I can gather regarding relocation to NC. Any information that you can give will be really appreciated. Thank you! :)

Hello! I really cannot give you any exact input on how Pitt County works. I am a new grad but from NJ. I went to PCMH last week to shadow a nurse. One thing I can tell you, I had a wonderful time shadowing. It seems like a good place to work. I spoke to several nurses there and all I heard were good things about the hospital. It is a huge hospital. But look on the brighter side, you have a lot options there. Each unit has a manager who would know you as a person, and not just as a number there. I will be starting employment there by summer. When I start, I would gladly give you reviews if you want. :)
