  1. $75 cash.... without question...
  2. I worked full time nights shifts for five years through my undergrad education so I wouldn't ever be chained to a giant ball of debt. I would contemplate shooting myself if I had a couple hundred grand tied up in a nursing degree. Those nights shifts were absolutely worth it now.
  3. You should get a Nurse Tech job in an ICU. That will get your foot into the door for a possible job out of school. Anesthesia tech may help, but not as much as an ICU technician. I got into Kaiser with 4 years of ICU/ER tech work and a year of ICU RN work.
  4. ^ they may make the same as a CRNA working in the same ACT practice, but rest assured, they make far less than a CRNA in private practice....
  5. It all depends on where you want to live. the fact that there are over 212 active job listings (that doesn't include the 300 recruitment agency listings) on gas work means that there is work out there. You have to be willing to work anywhere in the country. Sunny Florida is absolutely engorged with CRNAs because of the mills that are pumping people out. The western and central parts of the U.S. are fine. I even have a job offer when I finish in my home state of Utah with a small private practice.
  6. Same to you! Way to go! Excited to meet ya.
  7. Interviewed on the 7th. I'm super excited too. I started down this road 5 years ago!
  8. I just turned 24, and I'm starting at Kaiser this fall! So excited and ready!
  9. Just recieved my acceptance letter... WOOOOOOO!
  10. Nope. Based on years past they usually send out notifications in the next week our so.
  11. ^^ very well said... The stress of being an icu nurse is nothing compared to being a crna.
  12. They said they were looking for someone who can work with others. In the past there have been people that were far too type A who screamed and yelled at others on a whim. Not really appropriate in an OR.
  13. How did everyone's interview go?!? Decisions should be out in the next 10 days!
  14. So I interviewed today. it went great! If you are from out of town make sure you Gerry there early early early. I flew in the day prior and am very glad I did. 80 interviews, 35 spots. Fifty fifty chance now!Interview staff were very kind and helpful. Just get to know you questions. Here's to hoping I get in!
