  1. Are you asking about the Regis FNP program in Denver, CO? I have applied and am hoping for approval. I understand that this is a 22 month program that meets every-other weekend (clinicals additional to this). There are some really fantastic NP's that work at Denver Health that completed the program. Good luck!
  2. I would like to share my experience on this topic. I worked as a CNA while I attended LPN school. The program was rigorous because the material was all new to me. I worked as an LPN while I attended LPN to BSN school. Working as an LPN allowed me to apply classroom education to clinical experience. I am so pleased with the track that prepared me to be the nurse I am today. Anyhoo, if I had it to do over again -- I would do it exactly the same.
  3. So, I really did like FRCC. I received my LPN there in 05. I just completed my BSN at UOP in May. Now, I will be starting the FNP program at Regis this coming May (if I am accepted). The only thing with FRCC is that is was full time and I was unable to work and go to school during the last semester -- but it was worth it. Whatever it takes, however long the wait list is. Keep after it. You will look back in a few years and be soooo happy.
  4. I am not sure why my process went so quickly. I think that it might have been the person assigned to my paperwork at the Board of Nursing. A friend had submitted her application without transcripts and waited for the school to send them. I waited for the Board to recieve my transcripts and then walked my application in that day. When I received my authorization to test it took a few hours for the Pearson Vue web site to recieve it. I live in Colorado, but scheduled my test in Wyoming because I got a sooner date. I tested... it was hard. I had over 20 select all that apply questions and tons of infection control questions. I had two math questions. Anyway, I tested on a Saturday at 0830 and had my quick results on Monday at 0730. Then on Tuesday afternoon I had my RN license number on the Board of Nursing web site. AND I had my physical license in the mail on Thursday! Like I said, I don't know why everything went so quickly for me... but I am glad that it did. Good luck!
  5. I loved the FRCC Boulder County Campus. The instructors were excelent and I received a great education there. Toe
  6. Oops, I thought you were testing in WY... not WI. Good luck wherever you test!! Toe
  7. I just took my NCLEX-RN in WY. I am from CO, but got into WY quicker. I would advise that you do not stay at the Ramkota hotel. There was one guy there who said he got no sleep because of the environment there. I hear that the Quality Inn which is walking distance from the test site is very good. I stayed at the Parkway Plaza because they have a hot tub. The Parkway was good enough. Anyway, I was in a strange place in my head when I took the test on Saturday. I really thought I failed when the computer turned off after 90 questions. I wanted more questions to prove that I could pass. I checked the Pearson Vue web site for quick results yesterday -- and I did pass!! I am very exited! Oh, one more thing about the WY testing center, there are three doors. If you get there early, check the door on the West side. The put a brick in the door to hold it open or if it is closed, they have a sign on the door with a phone number to call and they will come and let you in. Good luck!
  8. Well, I guess my question answered itself. On the day that my transcripts arrived from my university, I submitted my application to the State Board. That was Monday the 19th. Now, on Thursday the 22 I just scheduled my test with Pearson Vue (for June 7th). Also, I had already registered with Pearson Vue a week or so ago, so there was no delay there. I hope the process is a speedy for the rest of you! :redbeathe
  9. Thank you, Apples: I did wait until my transcripts had been received from my school and then I submitted my application on that date (Monday). A peer of mine submitted her application prior to the transcripts being in. On-line, my application says "pending" and hers says "incomplete". My peer was told that there is a 5 to 7 day turnaround and I was told, "with the volume that we currently have, there is a two to three week turnaround time." I am just so ready to sit for my Board exam that I could just explode! Toe
  10. I just submitted my RN application to DORA on Monday. Any idea how long the turn around time will be to receive my Authorization to Test?
