Thank You!! Congratulations on being a GN!!! You write beautifully and give great descriptions. Reading this relaxed me a little bit.... for today at least ;-) I am going to Savannah, hopefully, in April. I just emailed back my "prefered date & site selection". We will see. I'm thinking about doing the Sheri Taylor workshop, not sure yet. EC now does only one day workshops, none are close to me and online conferences rack up $$ after a while. Again, thank you and congrats!!

Does anyone have any opinions on the princeton reviews A&P coloring book? Thank you for the new book idea Lexi...I am glad you mentioned that book. How exactly do you send a "thank you"?

Hey everybody! We have our first test on tissues weds. I will try to post some questions so yall can see them. I did well on my first 2 lab test but was a little frustrated with the second one. missed some questions just because I got ahead of myself. You know that feeling when your put your test on the profs desk turn around walk to your seat...sit down and think "Oh NO, That wasnt right!" yep....I'm there. I have been drilling my flash cards and I think Im ready. Ill keep everyone posted. Good luck and good days to all!

Had first lab test....made a 100. The big enchilada is next week on tissues and terms. Ill keep you guys posted.

Hmm maybe I shouldnt have said "read till you pass out" (I feel like Hilary Clinton at a Kennedy family christmas...just a joke, just a joke) It sounds like you are on the right track but how would I know...Im rowing the same boat honey....mine just left port a few days before yours. It motivates me. I dont have class till next wedenesday, but I will keep you posted. Now Im going to have what I feel like is a much deserved drink....cheers!

My first day the prof says "There are 15 of you now....4 of you wont make it, 5 of you will try very hard but still recieve a D, 3 of you will pass...just barely and 2 to 3 of you will wonder why everyone else thinks its so hard." We cover one chapter a week. I had already downloaded the course schedule so had already read the chapters and done the review questions. It was a big help. My wife kinda helped me out, she knew A&P would be challenging. We have done the first chapter, which was intro to A&P. Definitions, anatomical position, regions, cavities, systems, yada yada. Then we will skip over to chapter 5, tissues. As far as labs, we are required to do exercises that he chooses out of the lab workbook. So far it was ex. 2 and ex. 4. When we actually went to the lab itself, we did an introduction to the microscope. Learning its various parts and what they do. As for homework...get ready to read till you pass out:bugeyes: Ill keep you posted honey:typing

Oh yea...also get the course syllabus or the semester schedule. Know what the prof wants before you read the unneccesary stuff. I will post all that I can. We are deep into the perfunctory stuff.....the 11 systems and body cavities and organization. I made up a mnemonic device for the eleven..its abit "army" but it works for me. I Saw Nice Men Eating Cheese Logs Down Range Under Rainbows Integumentary Skeletal Neural Muscular Endocrine Cardivascular Lymphatic Digestive Respiratory Urinary Reproductive Stop laffing....it has worked for me, seriously :chuckle

Hey guys I just started class. I will keep you folks posted on progress and where we are. Cancergirl especially. We are doing chaps 1 and 5 with light brushes thru 2,3,&4. Good lookin out on starting ahead....IT HAS DEFINETLY PAID OFF!!!

Yep me too. A&P I. Im a pretty big nerd too. I actually read the first 5 chapters before class even started....it starts monday. My wife is an RN and I used to be an electrician. When I was overseas in the army, we lost our medic....I was handed and oxygen bottle, and A&P textbook and a PHTLS book and told "if anybody breaks....you gotta fix em". I hope to make friends here and gain some study buddies. Just curious what text books are being used. My school uses Hole's A&P. Thanks!:wink2:
