  1. Did you check ebay? They have things you would never think would be on there. Just an idea.
  2. I think you can print one from the website. If not, go to North campus Nursing Dept and pick one up. It is on the 2nd floor above the autitorium ("B" building I believe).
  3. Ok thanks. Yeah, I already took the CPR class in June 2008. Sorry, I never heard it called "BLS".
  4. What is "BLS"? I attend FCCJ as a pre-nursing student and I haven't heard of this class. Thanks.
  5. I also was in the accounting field for the pass 16 years; after some uncontrollable happenings I lost my job. I got so depressed that I didn't want to go back into the field. So I decided to change to nursing after discussing it with my husband. Then I felt like I made the decision because of him and I didn't feel like that is what I truely wanted to do and I still wanted to be in accounting. When I got into AP 2, that's when I knew I was on the right path for my future. I am will be finishing my last 3 pre-requisites, Micro, Sociology & Human Development, Spring 2009. I applied for the nursing program one week ago and will not know anything till around April. Long waiting and lots of praying!! Anyway, 41 doesn't mean anything! I am currently 43 and will be 44 in January so I will start nursing school at 44, if I get accepted the first time which will start Summer 2009. That means that I will be 46 when I graduate! None the less, I am so excited about getting into nursing school that I can hardly stand myself! GOOD LUCK AND YOU CAN DO IT!!:anpom:
  6. Has anyone ever had Prof Estes for A & P 1 & 2? If so, what is your opinion of his class? Would you take him again? Thanks.
  7. Thanks for everyones in put here. Like I said I was just wondering if it would hender his becoming a nurse. I don't think he would be sleeping with his patients. ha ha ha I never thought of it that way! Again thanks for all the replies.
  8. I am wondering about STD's, herpies, and other incurable diseases and becoming a nurse. Reason is, I have a friend that is starting classes this summer and he will eventually apply for the Nursing Program, when he has finished all his pre-reqs. I know that everyone has to get a physical prior to starting in the Nursing Program, is this something that will be looked for? He is actually the one that got me turned on to nursing and he is a great guy but I would hate for him to start something that he would not be able to finish and have spent the money for classes. Does anyone know the answer? It usually is the patient that you have to worry about not the nurse taking care of you. PS: I will taking the NAT next week....please keep your fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else that can be crossed, crossed. Thanks!
  9. I will check with them 2morrow to see if the science portion counts. Thanks for the help. Angela
  10. I took a pre-test from my school online and it had 10 questions on natural science. The test at FCCJ is NAT, I just picked up the study guide today and just got home so I haven't had a chance to check out the science portion. However, before I purchase it I looked through it and it does have science in it but i didn't see any study material, just the practice test. What would be the best to study for natural science.
  11. Thanks for the website for A & P.
  12. Where can I go to get information on the Natural Science part of the NAT (NET)? I took a practice test and did horrible on the Natural Science. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. I am going to FCCJ. I just changed my career from accounting to nursing. I am taking two summer courses; PSY 1012 & A & P 1. In the Fall I will be taking Chemistry, A & P 2, and Intermediate Accounting. The accounting class is the last class I have to complete my AS in Accounting Technology. I am excited about starting the nursing program and I will apply for the Summer in December 2008.
  14. I will be taking A&P 1 this summer along with Psycology. I too am changing my career, except I am a bit older, 43. My background is in accounting and when my company started doing cuts and I was one of them. So I decided now was the time to change gears. Children are grown, husband wants to retire and I need a change. My wonderful hubby said he will work so I can go to school then once I graduate and start working he will retire. He is really excited about me going in the nursing field, and he never really cared what I did before.
