  1. i just went to a weeklong course by wcei (they're based in wisconsin but travel to teach every where) and on the last day you take a test that is done by nwca. the test is pass/fail and if you pass you are considered "wound care certified". i am an lpn. it is also offered to rn, and pt/pta.
  2. i dont know what area in ma you live in, but i just moved from the southcoast (new bedford area) and at this time of year they're always hiring new grads in ltc around there. i now live in amherst/springfield area, and my ltc in east longmeadow is hiring new grads. the specific company i work for is berkshire healthcare, and they have facilities all over the state. they hire new grads and have a great preceptor program. if you want more information, let me know. jillian
  3. i work in ltc.. whenever anyone says the word "quiet" all hell breaks loose. this also applied when i worked with kids and dementia/head injuries in a psych capacity.
