  1. Hi, Kristinah! Supplemental and American Mobile have already called me back after I applied. Supplemental says they have PACU jobs in TX and I hope I could take one of these, relatively close to where we hope to move. I'll keep you updated and make sure I give them your full name if I go with Supplemental. Thanks again!
  2. Wowzer! Thanks for all the info. I just put in an inquiry for Supplemental yesterday. So we'll see what happens. My husband and I really aren't doing well financially. Although we've cut many expenses, I just can't get ahead, mostly because of where I work. I'm hoping that travel nursing might help us out some and allow me to send my husband back to school. So your news sounds too good to be true, but I believe you! I've heard that travel nurses make better wages. Again, thanks for your info and I will definitely mention your name if I end up going with Supplemental. Always feel free to share more information. :typing
  3. Thanks so much. I will look those companies up.
  4. Hi, Friends! Just wondering if anyone could give me info on travel nursing companies. I looked up BridgeStaffing.com. Seems nice, but I've never done travel nursing before and I am looking for advice. My husband and I are looking at moving to Texas, maybe Conroe/Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth area. Any pointers? Thanks!
  5. WOWZER!!! Thank you ALL for your wonderful replies! You helped me so much. I have another question...Do Med Center employees have to pay for parking? I work at a teaching hospital on an University campus and I have to pay a good $10/paycheck for a parking decal since I work days/eves. Thanks so much!
  6. Hi, y'all! I'm planning to relocate to Houston or Conroe this coming year. Does anyone know how much money RNs generally make? Thanks!
  7. Hi there! I'm looking to possibly moving to Arizona and I'm interested in the CNA programs offered there for my husband. Where is CAC located? Is there a CAC website? I'm also looking for LPN programs in Arizona, preferably near Phoenix. Does anyone know of good LPN programs? Thanks! :)
  8. I am doing 12 hour shifts and my entire lower legs kill afterwards...Do crocs save legs from this?
  9. I enjoy working alongside both men and women. However, I want to comment about invaluable male nurses. Most male nurses I've known are very knowledgeable, thorough in their work and always helpful when I need help. They've helped me personally with potentially hazardous situations with agitated patients; also, with patients who are very heavy and difficult to turn/move. Also, I've had trouble more than a few times with patients (both male and female) who respect men in the work place more than women, and I've gone to my male coworkers for help in these difficult situations. Male nurses are invaluable to the profession of nursing!
