Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
oh no oh no!!!! don't give up!!!! dont dont dont!!! this is all you! just gotta take a step back, take a lil break and analyze your study habits! if things aren't going right, you gotta be the third wheel and take yourself out of the box! there's no need to quit! you're tired! good to hear that! it means you're even hungrier to pass than most! you know how the nclex works, so work it! don't be defeated! this is not the time! what hasn't worked for you, then it means you gotta change your plan! i apologize for being blunt, but i too was a lvn prior to being a rn, just today.ehem, but you must disregard your expertise (which i give you much respect for), and pretend you are a brand new nurse! i know you don't like what i"m saying, but trust me! it was my third time too. imagine, i stopped at 240 something questions, with i think 2 hours left! i looked at it, thanked the lord and the darn computer that i was still in the game. i smiled and told myself (like an idiot) that i was going to pass this! as hard as the questions were, i used my brain, dragged out all that i was taught and beat the darn computer, next thing i know, one more click, and bam! computer shut-off. almost peed ma pants there!!! i couldn't even hold my arm up steadily, i was so contracted from holding on the mouse! hahaha. k enough bout me..it's all you..you...you!!! did i mention that i even wrote my name on a flash card with the rn title while i studied! still now, it's on my working table! so don't give up!

Good afternoon everyone! How are you guys doing? Well ever since I found out that I passed my boards, I have received 3 offers for the RN position, including a DON position for a Hospice company. Not to mention a clinical lab coordinator! Oh my, I don't know what to do! I hate to say no to people, but what to do, what to do! I just want to work at a hospital to gain more knowledge and experience. Not so sure if I'm competent enough to be anyone's boss. I'm just too nice I think! Uggh, it's crazy and great at the same time! I love you all. Have a wonderful week. Will let you know of my progress as a new RN.

Good morning everyone! It's 6:21am and I just checked the BRN website and saw my name. I'm officially a RN!!!! Oh my goodness! The PVT did work for me! Took my test on Nov 28, last saturday and tried the PVT monday. This am, GOD answered my prayers and with all my hard work and dedication, I could not have been so blessed! Thanks to all who have been there. Not only is my daughter a blessing this christmas, my RN is my x-mas present too! Now I can fulfill my dream and care for my family as I have always wanted to. I felt bad, I woke up my mom crying. She thought something happened to my lil girl! But I couldn't help it! She was so happy for me and so was I. I just cannot believe it you guys! I was in shock when I saw my name! I actually printed it out, post it on my refrigerator just so I wouldn't go crazy! This is unreal..but it is real! It's just so weird how I woke up before my daughter who is still asleep! GOD woke me up himself! I have so much to thank for everyday, and this is just the icing on the cake. No need for x-mas present, GOD gave me mine! Thank you so much for the support! Til now I'm shaking typing this and prolly waking all of you up! Thanks again. For those who have been out of school for a year or more, YOU CAN DO IT! It's perseverance, determination and the love for nursing, not to mention the blessing that GOD always give will get you through this! WOW!!! Yours Truly, 2009 RN

Oh I can for sure remember that shocking feeling! I just took mine couple of days ago. I've been relaxing ever since and everyone on this site has been very supportive. I'm just waiting for the time to get my result. Still have a difficult time sleeping, but it's okay. Do try to enjoy your time, especially with your family and friends whom I'm sure you couldn't help but isolate yourself from because of all the stress and increased anxiety over this test. You deserve to do something nice for yourself, you deserve it! I on the other hand decided to buy my daughter some cute items just because. Anyways do take care of yourself for now and don't forget, breathe the so called fresh air and enjoy the beautiful day that is brought upon you! Did I say don't forget to smile???hehehhe

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Good morning to you all. I took my RN exam on Nov 28th, 2009. I just decided to try the PVT, although I was very hesitant about it. Anyhows, upon registering, just after selecting the country of where to choose my testing center, I received the next screen stating, "The following problem occured while attempting to complete your registration request: Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." IS THIS THE FAMOUS POP-UP THAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN TALKING ABOUT? This is my third time taking this test. I have tried the PVT previously from my 2nd attempt and the PVT allowed me to go all they way and pay via credit card. I have read many posts regarding PVT, and I guess I just needed a little bit more faith on my previous performance. I was very hesitant to try the PVT because I'm very skeptical. I'm the type of person that wants to see the truth in writing. But thanks to you all for the encouragement. I will continue to wait for my papers.

November Nclex Test Takers Waiting For Results In California
I took the RN exam. I have tried the PVT on my second attempt and didn't get the pop up, and didn't pass. I just took the test today and because it is a weekend, I do not think that PVT will update their info right away. I will just wait patiently and check it on monday. I have a feeling I will have to wait til hmm maybe wednesday. Not so sure. I already cried too, just so I can relieve the anxiety and it helped. But after picking my daughter up from her dad's, I felt a surge of happiness, just because I was to see my baby girl. So thank you very much for the heads up and advice. How bout you? When did you take yours and if you dont mind, what test did you take? How's it going so far? Hope all is well.

Hi guys! Just wanted to inform you that I just took my exam today Nov 28th, and actually just got out around 11:45 this morning. After calming down my nerves, I'm here eating and trying not to think about it. The only thing I am curious about is the day to receive my result. Since I took the test on a saturday, which most students or test takers don't do, I'm just wondering when I will receive the news. But it's okay, I will just check. So, I took it. Many questions of course on priority, infection control, sata and medications I'm not sure I've heard before. But then again, I have been out of school for a year now, so I'm sure things have changed. I stopped in the middle, around 240 or something. All I know is that I had roughly 20 more questions to go before the coputer shut off. Am I sad? a little bit. Of course I was questioned on areas that I'm sure I was weak in (not surprisingly)... But I did my best! I'm just glad it's over for now. And whatever happens will happen. Do I want my RN license? Of course I do. Will I get it? I really am praying and hoping so. Thanks to you all who have responded in my previous posts. Do let me know how you did, since you've taken the exam prior. I wish you all good luck and prayers all for everyone!! GOD BLESS!!!

November Nclex Test Takers Waiting For Results In California
hi guys! Just took mine today Nov 28th '09. Actually just finished around 11:45 or so. Its my third time taking rn boards and not sure what to think of. i stopped in the middle, and if i can remember, i had about 20 or so questions left before the computer shut off. like i said on the other posts, im not going to analyze it. it's just soo much anxiety that now its over and all i can do is wait and take care of my daughter. but thanks to all those who have been supportive and good luck to all of us. GOD is always with us no matter what, and as cliche as this may sound....things happen for a reason! Once I get my result, I will let you all know how I do. Please keep all prayers alive...

to any who has taken the NCLEX-RN this Nov. 2009
Hi everyone. i just finished taking my boards for the RN and im in tears typing this! I guess i'm just trying to get rid of the stress and anxiety I accumulated during the exam. Anyhows, i actually just finished and not quite sure what to say! Sure enough, topics that I was weak at did show up more so than others. I tried not to focus on that issue so I kept going. I prayed and prayed in hopes that the computer will continue to let keep going, especially if I passed the 75 mark. I had about 20 questions left, maybe around 240 something when the computer shut off. I'm not going to analyze what went wrong or anything, nor will I ponder about whether I pass or not. It's been a journey studying for the boards. I just wanted to say good luck to those who are still taking their test this month. I can only hope and pray that I prepared myself well enough to pass. Thanks to all those who have been very supportive of those who haven't passed. This is my 3rd time taking this test and I can only hope and pray for the best. Thanks to you all.

Taking NCLEX 3rd time on Dec 16th, 2009
I agree with KAYBDT6. It is important to know your content well, especially when asnwering questions. Also, prior to answering the questions, see if you can answer the question without looking at your multiple choice answers. It will enable you to think critically, and if you are wrong, then do read the rationale carefully and analyze what part you didn't understand. I do wish you the best of luck on Dec. I am actually taking a lil break from studying myself. I'm quite nervous because my exam is this saturday, nov 28th, 2009. I am of course anxious, but feel more prepared. I have a baby so the time spent on studying was minimal and mostly done at nights. So when I prepared for this test, I used the Hurst Review and repeated and repeated everything. If I couldn't verbalize the disease and all its interventions, treatments, etc., then I didn't know it well. However, I didn't memorize it! Lots of people can memorize the material, which I can. But it takes more understanding than what people may think. Critical thinking skills is my weakness, but I'm not going to let it scare me. I've found that the subjects you don't like are the subjects you may want to attack more so. It truly feels great when I tackled the Endocrine system and answered mostly all the questions correctly in the NCLEX-RN 3500. At this point, I do feel that I lack some information about some other diseases, but I can't know everything. I will let you know how it goes after I take my exam. I'm sure I will feel awful but it's normal. Don't rush things, its important you have a structured schedule to study and use your time wisely. Do take breaks! Look at me, I'm a nervous wreck, but I must take a break to keep my brain focused. Every question is valuable to me and each question is important to me. I bought the Kaplan book and took the cd exam. I scored only a mere 62%. Devastated, YES! I took the NCLEX-RN 3500 tests, scoring 68% and higher. Will I pass the NCLEX? All I can do is my best and persevere. I do hope you feel better and happy studying! I forgot to mention that I too will be taking nclex for the 3rd time. i'm not hoping for luck, because no matter what, i will keep going. I would love to pass, so I can finally begin what I didn't finish. GOD is on my side no matter what! Life obstacles come at you, but it's us who can defeat each and every one of it! Take care.

Welcome nclex november 2009 support group
Good morning to you all. I've got a week left and I'm nervous! I do wish all those taking it this month good luck! I feel like I still got a lot to do, but I will just take it a day at a time. I should have been done with everything but I'm not. Contemplating to postpone, but I don't want to. I'm determined to finish my task before my exam next week. I really do feel I can do it this time around, but I'm scared (like all of us are or were). By the way, for anyone..do you have any special studying material or any acronyms to study what type of precaution certain diseases fall into? I'm having some difficulty trying to categorize them. Also, any advices on Psych material that you felt was important to focus on? They are all important, but for those who took the nclex recently may have a different opinion. Thanks to you all, wcuisme

OH I see okay. I reside in cali. Torrance to be exact. STudying for RN boards! hmm I'd love to do the review you're offering but money is a big issue! Don't have it.heheh. But for sure, I will go over the ECG. Yeah I took my boards last time, thought it was fairly okay, but still no go. Went all the way to 265.

Should I focus on any ECG strips. I'm aware they do show up on boards. Did you get any of them? May I ask how you studied for the infection control portion?

Welcome nclex november 2009 support group
Thank you for the advice. I've pretty much mastered Endocrine and fluid and electrolytes. Ive realized that mastering fluids n electrolytes often pertain to many of the disease process. still working on labs, just making sure i understand it well and how it works in each system...im gettin better with meds; been reading hurst book on pharm over and over again..hmm saunders good for culture portion? delegation is my weakness due to my lack of clinical knowledge..infection control..well..still need to review more... Congratulations by the way for Passing! I'm sure you studied tremendously hard and I'm proud of you! I really want to pass this time for my baby girl and of course myself! I can't find any LVN jobs right now and it's quite devastating! Been out of a job for like 3 months now and all my friends have tried to help me! Already applied for unemployment you know! Gotta do what I can! But thanks so much for the positive outlook. At this moment, I'm answering questions while my baby is sleeping on my arm! hehehe
