Recovering Nurses
Contact your state nursing organization to find an attorney who has experience in dealing with the BON. You do not want an attorney who might be great at criminal cases who has never dealt with the board or administrative law procedures.

Panel Interview - what to expect?
If there is an investigation, then a complaint has been received by the BON that you may have violated the nursing law in your practice, drug/alcohol abuse, felony, etc. You can find violations of the Nurse Practice Act on the website. If the BON decides you have "done something wrong" that is a violation, you will have the opportunity to present your defense but beware you could have sanctions put on your license such as: Reprimand, probation, suspension or revocation. Do not ignor any communication from the BON. It would be to your benefit to consult an attorney who has experience negotiating with the Ohio BON. Consult the nursing associations if you do not know of any.

Licensees disciplined by Ohio Board of Nursing
For my masters thesis I did a study about nurses who had been disciplined by the board and I would like to do a similar study. I also want to find out if the nurses believe the "discipline fits the crime".

Licensees disciplined by Ohio Board of Nursing
I would like to communicate with nurses who have had their licenses subjected to discipline by the Ohio Board of Nursing. ie: probation, suspension, revocation, reprimand. I would like to know if the nurses believe they have been given sanctions that are unfair or too harsh.
