  1. Hello I am also a lpn student, and I would like to know is it just one year for lpn-rn at ccp, and what are gpa requirements? Do you have to take a test to opt out of nursing 101? Have CCP always had this program lpn rn route or its fairly new? any info would be much appreciated thanks
  2. Hey firebike longtime no email, we are not in the same class. The background check took a lifetime to clear so I had to get whatever open. The night CNA class is okay, instructor is very easy. She gave us all the info and told us what to study, so anybody that fail the class must have a half of a brain:chuckle Instructor Anwar is so nice, I'm a little nervous about lpn test coming up though but I'm going to study hard. How is your classes? Did you get your letter about the meeting in December? I am going to try my best to stay on top. Do you know about the Camden-Rutgers new nursing program starting Fall 2010?
  3. My advice to you is you must get the study guide, study like crazy. get the teas and kaplan study guide, use the internet test perviews. If your strong in english and reading , just read and answer the questions. if your weak in math and science study harder, you know this. Time is of the essence, all schools have guidelines that students have to follow best thing is to get everything in early. I'm attending lpn program and bridge to rn program in camden new jersey, got burn out trying to get in philly schools, every school have there own criteria. The lpn route was best for me. Don't give up, your way too deep into it now. Good luck
  4. let me tell you, I took the teas test 3 times this years for different schools, and they all had different verison of the teas there was 2.0 version which was easy if you study and 4.0 version which was much harder. The Kaplan study guide on the science is so good, but know your rock cycle, volcanos, clouds because you would think it not on the test but it is.Know fraction, ratio, decimals like the back of your hand because they all use it in a word problems. english and reading is ok. what school are you taking the teas because if its frankford i think they use version 2 call and ask them.
  5. hey firebike, I didn't stay too long because I went to the financial aid office. I know its first come first serve but don't you think it they should have all lpn students in one class? another question about ppd's should everyone get theirs by 8/2 since she said a month within start date of class? I got mine today at my job. I'll call and make sure, so I should have all my paper work in by 8/3 what about you?
  6. hey firebike, and no I wasn't the handraiser girl (ha ha) but I won't be stranger in class, I'll introduce myself when class start because we don't know whats in store for us( HA HA) well I finish all pre-reqs and might buy a study guide book on AP 1&2 I took them back in 2006. its good you got bios out the way, you'll pass the final . I'm not going to make a big fuss about what cna class to take because I work only weekends, but then again day class is shorter so I would pick day first. any who that blackwood campus is huge, had trouble finding my car:bugeyes: , so you have to take english 1 first semester? time will fly by so fast before you know it. Study hard, get enough sleep and keep it moving on to next class:wink2: see ya
  7. Hello, and yeah I did return the last 3 pages in, question where you the only male in the class? sticking out like a sore thumb? because if you was I was sitting near you. and i will be attending cna session on 27th? some of the women in the class really need to clean out there ears because she repeated a lot of things over and over. can wait to get it rocking and rolling see ya
  8. Hey, I finish up my pre-reqs in 07 at ccp and just got accepted to Camden County College. I was so gun-ho on RN-BSN that in my opinion i waisted time, money, and almost went half crazy trying to get in RN program. I think this is the best route for the both of us to go to lpn then rn. I'm so determine to get my rn and it will happen for us. good luck to you and congrats!
  9. to:lericalpoet, you really sound like someone I know and I going to ask if your intials is D W. I went to ccp too
  10. to: lericalpoet my I ask what nursing school did you go to, and are you still going for nursing? and what went wrong in your nursing school for you? I would like to know because I'm from philly too.
  11. haha your funny, but of course I'll apply for rn program but look into a program for a 1+1 like Salem County or St. Francis because if you are LPN HF and OLOL still want you to do 2 years, so if I had to do 2 years to get my RN it will be a RN-bsn program. I think this program might not be so hard because I also talk to someone from there first graduating class and she told me that the teachers really work with their students they don't really stress you on books and if you done the majority of your pre-reqs your good money:D I'm soooo excited, so hooray for us!
  12. hello, I got my acceptance letter yesterday for fall 09 very excited, and happy. The school is accredit. I have my interview on July 15 very nervous but very happy, so congrats to you and see you in the fall!
  13. Hello, I just wanted to know from students or new grads if the school is accredit now, and how do you folks like the program? how are the professors and clinicals? I am a hopeful attendee any info form you folks would be helpful thanks:p
  14. wow, thats terrible, but you should always go with your gut instinct, this school didn't seem right since day one. when i first inquired about the school , with the cost and not begin accredit school was not worth the risk times is hard these days. sorry again, but always check allnurses for anything, you could can find all of your answers here
  15. congrats to you, first shot and scored! way to go!! I hope I will be luck too first time. I am definitely applying to the school. thank you for all the sight of the school and good luck in the future.
