Then shouldn't you know better??????
DITTO, but If...just IF she was a nurse, bless us ALL that it's PAST TENSE, lol!

Do you want to know what I find scary...
ITA! As long as the approach is respectful...I WELCOME constructive criticism. I have the opposite problem...make a mistake & sometimes a fellow nurse will say nothing & just hope you get in trouble :stone DISHEARTENING! Thank god that I have the opportunity to follow up on my work & I catch my mistakes... something we all do occasionally

What shift in ltc do you prefer?
When I worked in one, I preferred 11-7. In my experience, I actually preferred night, weekend option because that was the ONLY way I was able to handle all of my facility's ridiculous demands. I worked 7p-7a.

Any changes in the market (exp. nurse)- Phx area
- Any changes in the market (exp. nurse)- Phx area
I REALLY appreciate the replies ! You have all been VERY helpful. Is it hard to find RN opportunities at long term care facilities? My guess, is Az. has PLENTY, lol!- Any changes in the market (exp. nurse)- Phx area
I am CONSIDERING a move to Chandler, AZ or Calif. in the summer of 2010, but scorpion stories along with black widow spiders are REALLY FRIGHTENING me concerning AZ, LOL!!! I will have had a little over a year experience as a LPN. I will be a newly graduated RN when I make the move. I am willing to take any opportunity for employment while awaiting improvements in the market. Is it still challenging to find work as a year experienced nurse in ALL specialties, including LTC/SNFs? TIA!!Do you guys REALLY deal with scorpions constantly or does it just depend on where you live...I can TOLERATE/SPRAY the spiders, but SCORPIONS :eek:- ASN/LPN 1st Semester Nursing Program Schedule
Good luck getting in. I would just save for four full days of childcare if I were you. It is 2 full dys and 2 partial dys. The earliest remember having clinicals was at 6:30 AM or maybe 6:45 AM. The ONLY input you have on your schedule is if they decide an option to take online classes & they will try to put your clinical site within the vinicity that you live in.- Job situations you would not recommend for new grads
Is there any field or nursing situation that you would not recommend for a new grad? I am considering going into LTC as a LPN, but from what I have been reading...I am at risk for a rude awakening with a TON of work ahead of me. I am a hard-worker & that does not scare me, but I would like to know what I am getting into because I have superwoman tendencies (I KNOW I am not superwoman:chuckle:chuckle) and I don't want to overdo it with my first job as a nurse! TIA!- NO more LPN's
I doubt it with the shortage.- NCLEX Freak out!
I did not have this exact problem, but I truly believe in the power of positive thinking. You have to "fake it to you make it!" I would recommend that when these thoughts come...you instead tell yourself the opposite. As long as you have prepared yourself...you must have confidence that YOU CAN DO THIS! Try & remain clam & if you are not...incorporate some exercise into your life. That may even help you with getting more sleep. I think it is real important to study, rest, and get your mind right PRIOR to the NCLEX. Save that worry & doubt for after the exam Just STUDY, do LOTS of questions with rationales, and take it easy!- nclex pn
:yeah::yeah:A BIG CONGRATS to you!!!! I am sure you are relieved!!- nclex pn
I understand! I wished I that I had the opportunity for more questions, lol. I wish you well!!!!!!!!!!!- nclex pn
I passed! I wish everyone the best of luck!- nclex pn
ITA! It is all just numbers, but it is all so nerve WRECKING!!! I am REALLY trying to stay positive, but...- nclex pn
I took my NCLEX-PN today & it turned off at 85. I also have that SAME feeling, lol! I am TRYING to stay busy, but I want to know how I did! Good luck to everyone! - Any changes in the market (exp. nurse)- Phx area
