Stanford and Lucile Packard 2011 RN Residency
Does anyone know if ADN's able to apply to the program if they hold a bachelor's degree in another field? Thinking about applying next year, and the website says BSN required.

City College FALL 2008 / SPRING 2009 LOTTERY
Hi Enigma2174, I am also on the Napa JC waitlist, but it is at least two to three years long. When I went to their orientation session they said the best bet to get into nursing school would be to move out of state! I am looking at applying to some of the master's entry programs, which are all supposed to highly impacted, just like every other nursing program in california. We'll see. Have you heard anything about people doing the LVN program and then a LVN-RN bridge? I wasn't sure if that was an easier route to go.

City College FALL 2008 / SPRING 2009 LOTTERY
Enigma, I didn't get in either, I have been in the CCSF lottery 3 times and I guess it's time to try another route. Best of luck.

City College FALL 2008 / SPRING 2009 LOTTERY
Did they say around what time they will be posting results? Hopefully they will in fact still have the lottery today...it's been a long wait. How many times have you applied to CCSF so far?

Be careful what you wish for: ULCA vs UCSF
I work in admin at UCSF and am waiting to get into a nursing program. I am a bay area native, and lived in SoCal for the past few years. Love the liberal atmosphere up here but the weather is killing me! It is so windy and cold! My advice is to come interview and visit for a few days and see how you like the feel of the campus, and the city before making the move. Decide which career your heart is in, if it is transplant you might just want to stay put, UCLA is an excellent medical center as well.
