Late for interview
My understanding of that interview process is that each mini interview stands on its own so that your achievements/failings in one part have no bearing on your achievements in another part. So a person interviewing you in Part B would not know how you did in part A and would not use that against you. The individual marks are all added up after the whole process is complete and your final mark is a summation of all the parts. I would therefore assume that being late for the interview would affect only one part of the whole not everything. So if you did well in all the other parts, you will most likely be very much okay overall. As for sending a thank you card, not too sure about that one. Who would you send it to? I don't think it will influence the end result one way or the other. Personally, I wouldn't.

Quit nursing school?
Please be kind to yourself. The fact that you are able to critically evaluate yourself means you have what it takes to use critical thinking in clinicals. Being booksmart is a good thing, it will help you to develop your crtical thinking skills (if you should decide to continue with nursing). The hands-on skills seem hard to you now because you have not yet done them that many times but once you start practicing as a nurse and start performing these skills countless numbers of times a day you'll wonder why you ever doubted yourself. When you are evaluating yourself, don't just concentrate on the negatives, think of the positives too. Look at yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself "I can do this" because you can do it. I think you're smart enough to realise that suicide is not a viable option and will not give you a chance to start over. If you find yourself getting suicidal thoughts, seek help from a professional (e.g. a suicide help line). If NS has become so obnoxious to you such that you are considering suicide, then maybe it's time for you to take a break from school (a year off or something) and do something else. I hope things work out for you. :heartbeat

List of Schools offering 2yr (or less) fast-track Nursing degree (for ppl w/ prev deg
I think most universities accept any degree as long as it is from a reputable university or university college. E.g. UBC seems to accept any degree -> http://www.nursing.ubc.ca/Academic_Programs/Undergraduate_Programs/BSN/Index.htm The list of all schools of nursing in Canada offering accelerated programs is not long because there are not that many of them. So I think the original poster's request was very reasonable. I still don't see the link though between the question and why the poster wants to become a nurse. I must not be using my critical thinking skills properly Anyway, being a nursing student in an accelerated nursing program, I have more time than busy nurses who have to work, so I have done a search on the internet to try and answer the original question. I suggest anyone wishing to find out the list of all accelerated nursing programs in Canada should contact the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing by visiting their website at http://www.casn.ca/content.php?TAG=ContactUs. The website shows a list (not comprehensive) of schools of Nursing offering accelerated nursing programs -> http://www.casn.ca/content.php?TAG=FAQ. They also provide a list of CASN member schools -> http://www.casn.ca/media.php?mid=200. The list has website addresses of these members such that anyone with the time and will can visit these websites separately and see which schools offer the accelerated programs. Hope this helps.

List of Schools offering 2yr (or less) fast-track Nursing degree (for ppl w/ prev deg
i have been following this thread and must say i am appalled by some of the responses that have been posted here. specifically the ones where one posts a response not providing any useful information to answer the question asked but rather attacks the originator of the question as to why they want to be a nurse which has nothing at all to do with the question asked. the strange thing is, after the original poster has patiently answered these very irrelevant questions, no further information is provided to help the poster with her/his original question. so one ends up wondering why these questions were asked in the first place. i think if one is unable to answer a posted question, one should maybe just not post one's thoughts. sorry if i have stepped on any toes, but i really don't see why someone must first answer why they want to go into nursing before they can be able to determine the complete list of nursing schools offering accelerated programs. also just because someone has a degree does not mean they will be able to uncover all the information they need from the internet. posting questions on various websites is another legitimate form of internet research too. peace.
