Did anyone on here get accepted to Raleigh, NC. I got my letter the 24th saying I got in. My friend got in at Wake Forest and was an alternate at Raleigh. Hope to see some of you there in August.

Thanks Neurogeek. I appreciate the advice. I guess I have a little over 2 weeks to get things done. I'm waiting to see if I got in to Raleigh before I buy my plane ticket to DFW.

I think I got my letter last Wednesday for TWU saying I had an interview Jan 9th. I guess the interview is 45 minutes and pretty much an oral CCRN exam. I am extremely nervous because I have already interviewed at two other schools and am only an alternate at one and I'm waiting for a letter from RSNA which should be here tomorrow or Wed. as a side note, you may also be charged with falsifying documentation if you say you admistered a medication without actually doing so.

I agree. The Program I went to was a 2 year program that allowed you to get your LPN after the first year which I did. This allowed me to work as an almost nurse while I took the second year. Most programs are designed with the transition built in so you should be fine. In fact the prerequisites should have been accomplished preLPN. You may have to take one class to make the transition but that's it. Don't be satisfied with LPN though because it will limit your career possibilities and your income potential. The school counselor will help you and in many cases they like LPN's because they have experience. Hope this helps

I have an interview on the 3rd as well. Maybe we'll see each other their. I'm flying in from So. Utah. I asked them about the interview while on the phone but they were kind of vague. I guess the interview is 15 minutes although it will seem like an eternity. It sounds like their will be quite a few people present in the interview. I have a friend from here on the way to his interview in NC today. Good luck to everyone, and I hope we all get in. If not...Please let them pick me, please let them pick me .

I am waiting to hear if I got an interview date at Raleigh. My LOR's got to UNCG just last week so my acceptance to Raleigh is contingent on my UNCG acceptance. Raleigh has had all of my app info for awhile. Anybody have any idea what the interview at Raleigh is like. I figure they will just try to see at what point you finally realize that you know absolutely nothing and that CRNA is a must:D. This whole app process has been pretty painless through UNCG compared to other schools but it is still stressful..

Thanks lifelongstudent for the advice. Does anyone have any pros and cons for TCU over TWU and vice versa. BTW this whole app process is the pits

I too will be sending in my applications this coming week to TWU, UNCG and Westminster in my home state. I would really like to get into one of the first two, buy I'll take my third choice as a backup. I would have tried TCU but I don't have my CCRN yet and I wont have time to take the test and get the results back before the end of Oct. Hope see some of you guys in school.

You are in the same boat I was in. I started school for my second career as an RN when I was 32, graduated with my BSN at 35, started in the ICU, just turned 36 and I am now applying to CRNA school for fall 2009 which will put me @ 37. I don't think I'm too old. I'm just affraid that I might miss part of my kid's lives during the 2 1/2 years in school. I figure there is a light at the end of the tunnel, which is why I press on.
