  1. Is anyone here on the wait list or was on the waitlist but was recently admitted? Please let me know. Thanks
  2. I have a master's degree in public health so I doubt if my GRE were considered. I didnot dothat well on the. Writing 4, mathl I think 489,verbal 480 or somthing like that. I don't quite remember. I had a 3.5 on my pre-requisites and I had taken courses like microbiology, organic chemeistry I&II, physics, statistics etc. The wait list is good if one actually gets called in but if no one gives up their spot then it's aggravating to know you have what it takes to get in and you didn't and the following year you have to reapply.I don't like the fact that there are no guarantees at all. I have till August the 18th to know if I'll be in or not. So how do I prepare? Am I in or not. Plus, I thing there are other people ahead of me on the list so nothing is certain. School starts on the 24th of august.
  3. I'm on the wait list. Anyone on wait list two? I f you didn't get areply in the mail it's best to call the school chances are that you're on the wait list. If you were denied, you would have gotten letter stating that. Anyways, what good is the wait list? I knew I shouldhave submitted my application package sooner than feb the first. It took them until march to process mine. Does anyone knows if being on the waitlist at UT is positive?
  4. I called the school and was told that now till the 15th of may is when they send out letters eithr by e-mail of by post. So if you've not received anything yet, it doesn't mean you didnot get in. We have to wait till the 15th.
  5. Congratulations!!!!. So of all of us on this board, only one person got it? is that what it means? so if one didnot get a mail yesterday it means they didnot get in?
  6. anybody heard anything yet. I never knew adnission decisio could take this long.
  7. my masters is in public health. They put on my account that " complete. awaiting decision" they themselves took out the names of 2 schools I had added on my lists of school. If something was lacking or delaying, should they have put there that the application package is complete? Maybe they just didn't consider those as requirements.
  8. me too, I mentioned that I would like to go forward and become and adult nurse practitioner. I talked about why I wanted to become a nurse and what I would use my advance degree for. I check my account everyday to see if a decision has been made. I don't know why but they didnot include my masters degree transript and my pre req transcripts. I e-mailed then twice asking them if they made a mistake but got no reply and they didnot add them either. My husband said it's probably because those are not the requirements for admission.
  9. So they didn't focus on GPAs and GRE? Thats strange. I was kind of careless in writing my essay. I didn't write anything on CNL function. I just focused on my future nursing career plans. How was yours?
  10. no, I haven't gotten a reply yet. Anyone heard from UT?
  11. I applied too. waiting to hear from them. When is that?
  12. Ya, I worry about getting admitted as well. I have a master's degree so me that will give me a boost. I have not sent in my package yet.
  13. I agree, this is not time for sentimental issues. This is not middle or high school. This is your career and you have to let the other family member pave their way while you pave yours. I don't know how old u r but It may seems like you have plenty of time now but yrs do pass by fast. Don't end up regreting.
  14. I think u shld stay in that school and complete your degree in criminal justice the use the degree to apply to aecond degree accelerated nursing programs.
  15. Hi Wendy, I'm also applying into this program. i'm taking a&p1 right now and will take 2 in January. Are u still applying ? Have stated putting your application package together? Have you taken the GRE yet?
  16. Hello sarah, I'm very much interested in this program. I have a 3.2 undergrad gpa and a 3.7 grad gpa. My gre scores were not that good. I'm applying for fall 2010.were there students in ur class with such ?
  17. Hello Wendy, I'm very much interested in this program. I have a 3.2 undergrad gpa and a 3.7 grad gpa. My gre scores were not that good. are u stii applying to thre program or are u in already?
  18. Oh! Thank you so much for your response, for taking the time and be that detail. One thing though, I think I made a mistake in the school's name. The program I'm talking abt is univrsity of Toledo in ohio. My guess is ur talking abt University of Texas coz toledo's program does require GRE and it start in the fall. Thank u so much for the concern.
  19. Thanks areawoman. Did u get accepted into ohio state? Ihope that's what ohsu stand for coz I thought it was OSU. Anyways, did you get accepted? if so, do you mind telling me what you scored in gre and how to write a personal statement? OSU really scares me yet I really want to get admitted. did they calculate the gpa of all undergrad courses you've ever taken? coz that's what I was told. Thanks for your reply
  20. I too have been considering applying to this program since I live in columbus. How is the program? How competitive is it. I have a 3.2 gpa undergrad and a 3.55 gpa grad . I have not taken the GRE yet. Do you think I stand a chance? I have always been afraid of osu coz I had called them and was told most students who apply have at least a 3.7gpa. Is that true?
  21. Hello Lyela,I'm sorry for any inconvinience. Any information would be helpful. Here are some the questions I have. how competiive is the program? what was your overall gpa and gre scores if you don't mind sharing? what things did you include in your personal atatement? what questions wre you asked in your interveiw? How was the progra itself? was it so difficult that some students were dropped along the way? with the cnl msn, can one apply to crna programs or must one have a bsn? how many students were in your class? Did anyone have a low GRE score and still got accepted? anyone with undergrad GPA of less than 3.1 who got accepted? Thanks so much for any input
