Need help from future RN's about NCLEX!!!!
Okay I have a situation allnurses.com. I took the NCLEX three times and I have failed. So I decided to go at it again in 2010. However, I have since gotten into some criminal trouble in 2009 that was due to my part. the felony will be reduce to a misdemeanor on 11/2/10. I completed all of my probational items. Well, I proceeded to apply for licensure again in the state of Indiana. After disclosing my criminal background, I was summon for a hearing. I went to the hearing and was denied the opportunity to sit for the exam not b/c of my criminal hx bt b/c I am not competent enough to pass the exam? what is that!!!! they did not even give me a chance to prove myself. i was in the room and Im hearing all kinds of criminal acts and the panel awarded them their licensure or the opportunity to sit for the exam. I mean before coming into the hearing, I was taking the Kaplan course again, studying, doing remedial courses, and motivating myself to take the boards. My heart was crushed when the panel said i could not sit for the exam. I was expecting probation or something--not denial! What do I do? Do I give up or keep trying. They did say I could reapply but I think he was just saying that and meaning we will still deny you. What to do? What to do?

My experience with NCLEX and how I passed on the 3rd time..
Thanks cute_nurse24, I really need all the help I can get. I am a married wife with three kids. I work full-time and I am currently in school pursuing a degree in management. I figure this would help me, once I get my license, for future goals. I know it is going to be hard starting to study for the NCLEX again but I know i have to make some sacrifices. I just do not know where to start. I have been browsing through the Sauders book again, and I lost the disk to my Kaplan course. I guess I have to pay for the Q-bank all over again. I am just lost. I was going to try Suzanne's plan but I read today that it is close. If you could help me I would really truly be in your debt. You can reach me by this website or my personal email at I figure i will give myself three months to study for the boards, but i need a study plan. I don't want to study everything from everywhere. I just need a strategic plan that will be helpful and adaptable to my studing techniques. For some reason, I have a hard time answering the questions, however, when I took the Kaplan course i did alright on the training categories and the mock NCLEX exam. Unfortunately, it was not enough for the NCLEX. My mind is always wondering during the test. Any help is appreciated. I thank God that someone is out there willing to help people like me. Thank you so much. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

My experience with NCLEX and how I passed on the 3rd time..
I'm so proud to hear of your success. I will be preparing to test again for the 4th time. I took about a year off in order to focus. I am glad I ran upon on your post. I am more motivated and inspired by your courage. I depended on the Suzanne's Plan but now they have stopped that. I guess I am on my own now. I am so scared but I know I have to do this. God has not brought me this far for nothing. Nursing lives within me. It is all I dream, think, and hope for. I pray for the moment when my time has come to announce that "I Passed" my boards. Please keep me in your prayers and any advice is helpful. Thanks

Just took Nclex for the 3rd time =(
Hi, I'm back and rejuvenated. To respond to your distress. I took the NCLEX three times already and failed. I lost the confidence to retake it so i took some time off to mentally prepare myself for the battle again. Silverdragon is right, don't base your last question on the success of your exam. I did that and I was disappointed but I'm quite sure that you will not be. Stay positive and keeping striving for the best. Good Luck future RN.

Took the NCLEX three times
in the past I've been reviewing each chapter in the 3rd Saunders book, took Kaplan course, reviewing the Flashcards I bought from a website, answering questions from the Kaplan test takers, doing qbank and scoring fairly well. I don't know nothing more that I can do. Everyday I make sure I answer 100 questions and writing down my rationales to the ones I missed. But when I'm in front of the test I just panic. I know I know the information b/c if it was an oral test. I would pass it in a heartbeat. this time I need some serious help. I was told that Suzanne your plan works.

money in between time.....
hi backtothefuture, im in the same predicament as you. this will be my fourth time testing. i graduated in 05. i can't get a job even as a CNA b/c im not certified as a nursing assistant. its like i have to start all over and go to school again. i cant take refresher course b/c you need license. i don't get it. what is left for people in positions such as ourselves. i spend every dime i get taking care of my bills, kids, and paying for nclex and preparation. i so exhausted and stressed out but being an RN is all I dream of. i just pray to God that this fourth time around will be my time. Im going to use Suzanne's plan and leave the negativity behind me and believe in myself. i know i can do it all i have to do is remove the distractors and focus on my weakness. May God bless you and I will pray for you.
