But as of now, I only want to know if what are the subjects that I still have to take. But anyway, I will still contact them about this one. Thanks:saint:

Demand for Nurses in Canada
hi purple! just want to make it clear that i didnt say that most filipino nurses plan to make Canada as their stepping stone to US. This was my actual post "hello there! i beg to disagree with that Filipino nurse who told you that. i know a lot of philippine nurses who would not want to work in another country. It's just a matter of personal choices. i also want to agree with you that other people, not only Filipinos, should not make Canada as their stepping stone for them to go to US. Canada is a great country and i know you'll love it here" --you can check it here --https://allnurses.com/forums/f108/demand-nurses-canada-323593-4.html ------------ Please be careful next time. I dont support those people who uses another country as their stepping stone to go to US and i also think it's unfair to generalize filipino nurses or any other nationality. anyway, best of luck and God bless to you.. Just PM me if you want to ask something. Hopefully, you'll love it here in canada. What province are you planning to register?

Dont know where to start...need advise for Canada
i went to the site of nursing bodies in BC and Alberta. i noticed that in their application package, the form that is to be sent to the School of nursing where one completed his nursing program there is a table where the school will write the number of theory hours and clinical hours. but in CNO there is none. im just really curious if how will they go about it. they have specific number of hours for theory but how can they possibly know that one? my transcript of records in school doesn't have theory hours in it- it only have the subjects, units and grades. anyone here planning to become an RN in Ontario? or those registered in Ontario? anyone can answer though. thanks:saint:

Dont know where to start...need advise for Canada
thanks janfrn! i read from other thread that CNO is the most strict of all the nursing bodies in canada:( anyway, just have to deal with it:wink2: i'll keep you posted about my application(in case others have same situation) thanks again and more power

Dont know where to start...need advise for Canada
hello guys! i know that the nursing bodies need certain number of hours in clinical duties and theory classes so that they can evaluate my application for licensing. my question is, how can they know the exact number of hours in my theory class which in fact it is not stated in my Transcript of records. i just dont know how can they evaluate that one. thanks to the moderators! more power!

Do Filipino Nurses Need Remedial English Classes Before Going Overseas?
i must say you're right with what you've said! others here are just stereotyping, which we nurses should not do. nevertheless, that remedial class is, as you said, should be case to case basis. in the philippines they use primarily Tagal0g and "occassionally" english so you have to expect that not ALL of the filipinos are that fluent in english. but most of them know hot to write and speak in english. one more thing, i also know a lot of natives here in canada that are poor in grammar and often misspell words. so the bottom line is, never ever generalize because you know for a fact that it is not acceptable! by the way, i am just happy because here in Ontario, all cultures are accepted and the natives here are very RESPECTFUL and HELPFUL to the immigrants. God bless!

New immigrant in ontario and a registered nurse in place of origin
thanks.. do you have an idea if they solely depends on the subjects/courses that i finished or do they also consider my grades? what if someone graduated as cum laude, does it make a difference? thanks again...

any filipino nurse working for Apex Corporation-Agency for Pinoy Excellence?
hi guys! ive read that this agency deploys philippines nurses in short period of time with free fare, etc.. but my question is what is the catch of the agency? they are agency right so they surely will profit much from you. do they have contract? or how much do they pay when you get there.. keep in mind, when you get there you will not work as RN rather as a GN. it's two different things. does that agency already sent nurses to canada? can someone lighten me and the others about this. it's just that i had jitters when i found out how fast the process is... but you know i will be very happy if you guys will have the chance to work here..
