  1. The Kaplan Review Course is also great to study with. I owe my success to them. They are great about breaking down the NCLEX blueprint (which are those categories) and with their qbank you can focus on just those areas you are weak in. You can create your own test that will only ask you questions in the categories you scored low in. It was great for me! I think it is important to continue to do as many practice questions as you can. Kaplan's questions were very similar to NCLEX and the more comfortable you get with the questions the greater it is to succeed. Good Luck!
  2. I have been up since 2AM checking the California website! Finally at 630 AM they posted my name! I passed!! whooooo hoooo!!! Good luck to all who are still waiting! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
  3. By the way, I owe it all to GOD. I prayed HARD for 2 whole months and could feel him working. He was my rock and strength through this whole thing! And what a horrific thing this was! So glad it is over!!
  4. Hi ItalianRN, I took my NCLEX on Tuesday and got around 160 questions. After 100 I lost count, but kept focused. I told myself "Ok, this just means you are borderline...really concentrate and get the next ones right!" I remember taking a bathroom break at around 140 and coming back and doing around another 20 questions. When it shut off... I didn't really know what to think. I wasn't happy or sad... just scared. What if I didn't do well? I was freaked out for the next 3 days. Last night I was up every hour checking the website. Finally, today at 530 AM, my name popped up with a fat RN behind it. I passed! Thank you GOD! I'm sure you did great! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Good luck!
  5. I took my NCLEX on Tuesday in California (not a quick result state) and have been up since 2:00 AM checking the website for any updates. Every hour I would check and nothing. After 4 AM, I fell asleep for about an hour and a half and woke up again to check. To my surprise, my name was there with a fat RN next to it! I passed!!! I can't believe it, what a relief! I can finally sleep, eat, and start my job next week! Woo hoo!!
  6. This is the most insane wait ever!! I took my test Tuesday and live in California (not a quick result state). I'm freaking out. Checking the computer every hour to see if anything is updated. My test turned off somewhere around 160 and I have no idea what to think. I can't even remember what the last question was. I was so focused on answering the questions to the best of my ability (because they were soo hard!!) and then moving on. I'm just hoping and praying for the best. All I can think is that I did the best I could to prepare and remained focused and calm throughout the test. I did the best I could. I just pray that God was guiding me to the right answer!
  7. I still don't know yet! I am so full of anxiety, I can barely stand myself.
  8. So I finished the NCLEX today with somewhere inbetween 150-160 questions. I'm freaking out! After 75, I didn't expect it to turn off until the end (265). However, to my surprise it did. I really tried to stay focused throughout the test and I studied my butt off! I really hope it paid off! I have no idea what to think! It's all in God's hands now! Say a little prayer for me! Thanks
  9. Thanks Miss JKm, have you taken the test yet? If so, how was it?
  10. Thanks! Good luck to you too Trsa. Do you think you are ready for it?
  11. I'm taking Kaplan right now too. I test tomorrow and will not have enough time to get through the entire qbank. Were the question trainers just as good? Let me know! Thanks!
  12. This is it, one more day until NCLEX. I'm so nervous and will not be able to relax today. My plan is to do Kaplan's question trainer 7 and review pharm. Studying is the only thing that calms my nerves lately. Anyways, I appreciate all of the support and please pray for me! I know after today, it is all in God's hands! I just need to stay positive and know that I can do this. Keep me in your thoughts! Thanks
  13. Any advice on what I should do for the next 48hrs? I'm wondering if I should study meds hardcore. Probably one of my worst subjects.
  14. freakedout Congrats on passing! Any advice to those about to take the exam??
  15. I have my fingers crossed for you lilmama! Any advice for those about to take the exam? What review course did you take, if any?
  16. Dakota, I'm sure you did great! I have my fingers crossed for you! I take my test on Tuesday and I have never been so scared! I hope we can all get through this!
  17. Well, I took ATI in nursing school and the comprehensive predictor gave me a 91% chance of passing. I signed up for virtual ATI and went through all of the testing except for the leadership and last comprehensive predictor. The system wasn't right for me, just got me discouraged because I was receving in the 50s on some of those tests. I felt like an idiot. I signed up for Kaplan and the diagnostic said I was just borderline, even with all of those ATI tests! I really needed strategy because I'm horrible at standardized tests. Kaplan gave me that and I scored really high on their readiness test. I felt it gave me more direction on what I needed to study. Hopefully it will all work out. I have been studying for 2 straight months for this. Between ATI and Kaplan I have done thousands of questions (not scoring that high though). Hopefully I will be rewarded for my insane effort! After tomorrow, its all in God's hands.
  18. Did you take virtual ATI?
  19. I'm taking Kaplan right now, but I'm only scoring in the low 60s on their practice tests. I'm getting so discouraged! Am I ready to take this thing in two days? I have no idea! I don't think I have ever been so scared of something in my entire life! IT SUCKS! At least yours is over, right?
  20. How did it go allthingsbright? I'm taking mine in 2 days and freaking out! Did you take Kaplan?
  21. I have 2 days left before my NCLEX exam and I am contemplating how I should study from today to the test. 2 months ago, I decided to take virtual ATI to study content and then I took Kaplan last week for strategies. Kaplan has so much online practice and I want to get through it all, but with only 2 days left it's not going to happen. I took 6 of the question trainers and scored from 62-66%. I get so discouraged with my scores and it makes me wonder if I can do this test. I was planning on taking question trainer 7 today, but I dont want to score low and ruin my confidence. Do you think that taking the qbank in tutor mode so that I can answer and review the rationales would be adequate and more beneficial for me? I do want to finish the trainers, but I dont want to ruin my confidence. Let me know what you think! Thanks
  22. For those of you who took Kaplan: Is the Nclex harder than the questions Kaplan gives you? I have only scored from 62-66% on Kaplan's question trainers and am worried I'm not ready. I take the test in 2 days! ah!
  23. I have my NCLEX in three days and I'm wondering if I'm ready. I just finished the kaplan course and scored in the passing zone with their readiness test with a 72%. However, I took question trainer 6 today and only scored a 62%. I'm freaking out! I thought I was ready for this. I have been studying for 2 months straight. I know a lot of content, it is just applying the material I guess. The first 5 question trainers I was scoring 64-66%, and now the 62%. Does anyone know if this is good enough? I feel so borderline! Please help!
  24. i feel the same way! i am so terrified of this test! every morning, i get up and sit at my computer reviewing content and then taking practice tests. i usually score around 65% and want to die! i get so discouraged! i have been studying for 2 months straight and my scores have remained the same. i have reviewed so much content that i feel my head is going to explode! i took the comprehensive ati predictor the last week of nursing school and got a 63%, which predicted that i had a 91% chance of passing the nclex. i was ok with it until i asked all my other classmates what they got and they all received 99% pass rates. so, i signed up for virtual ati (which i hate) but gave me a good review of content and now i'm onto kaplan review. hopefully kaplan will give me the critical thinking skills i need to get better scores. i hope! good luck to you. i will be taking my test a day before you, i will be thinking and praying for you! i hope normal people can pass!
  25. I'm taking the NCLEX-RN in 8 days, and I'm freaking out! I'm so scared of this test. I have been studying using Virtual ATI to review content and will begin a 4 day Kaplan class next week to review strategy. I have looked at so much nursing content, I feel my head is going to explode. However, everytime I take another ATI or Kaplan assessment, I find new information that I have forgotten or I just can't pick the right answer between two. I usually score around 65% on these tests. However, I'm trying not to get discouraged because I have not had any review of strategy and critical thinking through questions. Hopefully the Kaplan review will help with this. I'm so anxious, all I can think about is studying. I feel that I can't just relax or take a break because I'm not doing well on the assessments. So, I will review information, take another assessment, and get the same score. I'm so frustrated with this! I just can't help to think "what if I don't pass?" Does anyone have any advice for me??
