On Kaplan I got anywhere from 59% to 67% on the Question Trainers, got a 67% QT7. 60% overall on my Q banks. Passed at 75 questions in just over an hour.

Well, I passed!!! And I got me results in less than 48 hours too!!! Thanks for all the help that everyone in this thread provided.

It is hypokalemia that causes digoxin toxicity, I believe. Hyponatremia can lead to lithium toxicity, so they encourage a high salt diet on that drug. Also, took the NCLEX today! Stopped at 75 question, 16+ SATA, lots of drugs and infection control. I feel okay about it, I guess we'll see. This thread really helped calm my nerves!

Late Decelerations are a sign of fetal distress and continue after contraction. Reposition client (left side) 3- 5 beat Variability in FHR is good sign, you want to see that. Stop pitocin if contractions longer than 90 seconds and closer than 2 minutes. Once the membranes rupture, important to monitor temperature hourly as risk for infection increases. First thing to do after rupture is to auscultate fetal heart tones! Assessing for cord prolapse if decels occur. Analgesics are typically not given during the transitional phase of labor as delivery is imminent and could lead to decreased respiratory rate in neonate. If patient has boggy uterus - place the infant to nipple, it causes release of natural pitocin If uterus deviated to one side - encourage client to void. Rhogam given to Rh negative mothers with Rh positive babies.

If patient in Buck's traction is sliding down in bed, elevate the foot of bed with blocks. Keeps leg straight, doesn't alter pull of traction. Thanks! Yeah, I know I wouldn't get a travel position. Actually didn't realize this was the travel nurse forum until now, I just searched for Santa Maria and found this thread. Can I ask what you mean by their OB care being behind the times? I'm just trying to gather some independent information because I actually am interviewing with the Marian Medical Center in a couple of weeks, but was basically told that salary would be discussed at that point. So I just wanted some general idea if it's competitive to other areas of California.

Can I ask what Marian Medical Center pays new grads? I'm interested in the area, but not sure I can move unless the pay is worth it. Thanks so much!

Can I ask you what they pay an hour? And do they have differentials? I'm looking at that area as a new grad and would love to know!
