  1. How did you like UOP's BSN program. They are offering the LPN-BSN here is Colorado. I know for a fact that the school is accreditted and it is recognized in California. the classes are set in classroom not online. and the clinicals are set in Colorado hospitals as well. I have a friend who graducated from UOP in California and later on she got her MSN from UCLA. I am hoping that I can work in California after i get done.
  2. Do you still have the study material available? please let me know thanks

So as I understand it your already finished with Excellsior or are you in progress. Also, you are using college network stuff to pass excellsior exams right? I myself looking into University of Phoenix for my BSN. I firgured I am going to put the effort in and mind as well get a BSN at the same time it does cost more but the schools in Colorado are not cheap to begin with. Best of luck with your schooling as well.....by the way how much does exellsior cost....I know in Colorado the clinicals are a problem here. Benjamin
  5. Hi I also checked out Excelsior College out of New York. They are not as accredited as they say. In Colorado you have to do 350 hours of perceptorship plus the cpne thing. I hear trying to get clinicals are not as easy as they say. There is a wait for getting the cpne. I also heard you have to be on your toes for that. any mistakes could cost you more money and time as well. I still like UOP hopefully I will start with them soon by January of 2008.. have a great day
  6. Well another Colorado nurse that is great. I work at Denver Health and they do have tuition reimbursement but it is not that great. However I believe the government has a program if you work in a hospital that is in need of nurses they might be able to help out with the tuition.. Which campus are you at. I got all my general courses already done at CCD and at Fullerton College in California as well. nice to meet you have a great day. Benjamin
  7. I just did my application for the school. UOP is probably going to be worth while. I applied at Regis and University of Colorado and I have to take a load of classes over again since my classes are expired meaning older courses taken a while back. I have two friends going there right now and they like it. I went to Community College of Denver for my LPN and I do not recommend them at all. one of the worst programs as far ar Community Colleges go. I have allot of prior college and with Phonenix I don't have to take a whole lot of general courses... have a great day. :monkeydance:

Good day how did you hear about the California Ruling regarding Indiana State and College Network? I do know that Excellsior is in question in California and Colorado. In the State of Colorado you have to do 350 hours of perceptorship and in California you have to do 800 hours of it. The states want to make sure you are practicing safe patient care

I agree what you are saying about College Network.. Yes you can buy the material off of Ebay for half the price. The most important piece to this pie is Accrediation and accredibility of the school or this so called College Network and it's partners. I have decided to go to a local college it has less BS involved with it.
  10. Anybody actually attended a university of Phonenix campus in colorado how is the program how is clinicals how much does the whole thing cost. I was told 2 years to complete my bsn
  11. tazee replied to Laught3r's topic in LPN to RN
I am thinking twice about the whole thing right now. I am so confused College Network, via Indiana State University. oh god I don't know what is exceped later on I am thinking about going to California as well
  12. Good afternoon trying to get into a online LPN_BSN is a nightmare. Anyways I was looking at Indiana State University. any info on them.. anybody who has been through their program..I would appreciate any info thanks
  13. Hi I am currently taking Pharmacology in nursing school and would like to know any good books or links I can use in my current course work. thanks for any help in advance. Benjamin:)
  14. Exactly LPN/LVN is in demand as well as RN too. Hopefully it will stay in demand for many more years to come.
  15. I know in Colorado most of the hospitals are doing away with MA's and in reality the New MA's are really the LPN's. nursing is revolving so fast. and changing. If you are a LPN you have to get your RN to have more doors open to you.
