oh the names u hear in the nicu. I can't remember them all. one set does stick out. boy -Garik and Kira from star trek. kiras not too bad. yeah- some of the posts i have heard before...... i was in nicu for 7 yrs and i miss it a lot.

well, once again i did not get the CM job........... i accepted a position as an rn chart reviewer for a large co. here in MD. I really thought I had the last cm job- the rn manager- said she would love to have me... did a share day.......... thought it went great. but no go.......... oh well i hope my new job works out well.

YES!!!!! IF you are a full term mom with NO problems. I worked in NICU 7 years and now work at a birthing center and I love it!! It is so much better than a hospital any day for a NORMAL pregnancy. I saw so much crap in L & D. I would NEVER deliver in a hospital again. We hardly ever have bad deliveries, babies ect... I love and miss the NICU ALOT. I def. got burned out of hospital nursing.

Thanks. Yes I have tried the ins. co. Todays interview went very well. I have a share day to do. I think I have the job. Now..... I hope I like it--- lol I should love it. They will let me know after my share day if I get an offer or not. Nursing really stinks now a days. It is not a one hat job anymore. I have considered getting out it. I too have tried for over 1 yr to get into cm. UGH Nursing is NOT what it use to be. It use to be a one size fits all prof. I worked in a hospital for 13 yrs. I tried to change my specialty......... lol NOT an easy task. I too find that they want a BSN, and experience. HOW do you get experience if no one will hire you????? UGH I am still trying. I believe you DO have to be lucky or know the right person to get the right job in a new specialty of nursing. I have ANOTHER cm interview tomorrow. ugh I am so sick of interviews. Nursing is not fair. I see so many inadequate RN's in nursing. Anyway If i get lucky to get into cm of any kind I hope to get cmm soon after.
