They told me the lowest accepted was 3.6 with 17 hours. Was that not true?

Northlake, what was your gpa? I am so upset. You would really think they could find room for us. She said something about if they got more faculty she would let us in. But I wonder is that really something she is trying to do? I hope more people find out about this because I can NOT believe that they would not check everything over and have no mistakes. They are so picky about our applications!

They just called and revoked my admission- they messed up on the calculations. Now the lowest is 3.6 with 17 hours and I only had 3 at the time of application.

I just got accepted at El Centro for the Northlake campus. Any advice? Oh and the GPA was raised this year the lowest at El Centro was 3.73 and Northlake 3.43. Much higher than last time, that was crazy low!

Does it say for both campuses or just El Centro. It looks to me like they only considered you for the El Centro campus. Did you keep a copy? You might call and double check with them, if they can tell you. Did they send your package back?

No, I had a 3.6 gpa on the pre reqs and a 4.0 on the core. The cutoffs are: El Centro Campus- 3.73 prereq with 13 credit hours with a gpa of 3.23 gpa and a Hesi of 89.36 North Lake- 3.47 with 17 credit hours with a 3.24 gpa and hesi of 82.98

Was your gpa on the 5 classes 3.6? I am just trying to make sure it wasn't cummulative. What did your letter say? Mine started with Congratulations on your acceptance at NLC.... Your prerequisite gpa is 3.60 and youve completed.... saying all my info. Then it listed the info for each campus. Then it told me if I haven't finished my other pre-req that I have to register for them in the Spring.

Everyone gets a letter letting them know if they got in or not. I'm praying for a thick package (that is not just my application back!!!)

Oh my goodness, I'm so nervous!!! I held my breath as I checked the mail today even though I knew it wouldn't be in there yet!! There was no big envelopes so I looked through the small ones praying for nothing from El Centro!

If they are mailing tomorrow, I'm not expecting till at least Thursday... at least I'm hoping they come Thursday!

Only 3 more days till the letters are mailed! Hopefully only 4 till we get them!

rncareer, why are you being so defensive to being asked a simple question that was not unreasonable given your questions? FWIW, at the information session she said that you do have to have a ss number to apply to the program and to do clinicals at the hospital; it is how they track everything, compliants, etc. I have applied with NL as my first choice but will go to either campus... I just want to get in. What's everyone's gpa? I have a 3.6, I hope it's good enough!

I had office experience but no healthcare experience. I'm a clerk in the OR. You could also look at unit secretary positions.
