  1. I graduated Oct 17th from Western Career Colleges LVN to RN bridge program. It was $35000 and 8 months long. I received a quality education. The cos is very high, however if you factor in the time savings of not having to wait to get in to public school, it seems like it will pay off in the end. By the way, I took my boards Oct. 23rd and found out on the 27th that I am now an RN. Mary Langley is the admissions rep that I would reccommend. Good luck with what ever you decide.
  2. Hi everyone, I finished my last final on Friday. All that's standing between me and graduation is 18 shifts precepting in the ICU...and boy am I freaked out! I have been an LVN at the hospital I will be precepting at for 7 years. I am worried that they will expect more from me than they would your average off the street student. In my right mind I know I can do this, and do it well. However, my emotions are trying to get the best of me. Please tell me that you were freaked out also. When I speak to my friends at work they all tell me " You are going to be great". Nice to hear, but really I want to know that all of them went through the same emotions and I'm not alone.
  3. It cost about $35,000. Thier classes are during the day about 3 times a week. The prereqs are the same as any JC. They do have a prereq program. It's 4 evenings a week, if you take all of the prereqs. The cost for that program is $15,000 if you take all of the classes. Each class for the prereq program is about $1500
  4. I have been an LVN for Kaiser in Northern Ca for 6 years. I make $31.58 an hour.
