  1. Hello vikig99, Would you happen to know if HUMC offer part-time hours/ and or weekend schedule for their Extern program in the summer? I work full-time at night (12 hrs/3 days networking job) and am really looking for somewhere that offer part-time intern or extern? Thanks for your help..
  2. I ordered my books from amazon.com and bn.com at discounted prices. As far as the drug books go, I would have to check when I get home and let you know. The drug book would be mostly use for you care plans that due in clinical. You would most likely want to get a drug book that is a duplicate of what's in the book. I didn't use the yahoo groups in nrs1 or nrs2, sometimes I wished I did receive info from them when it came to lectures that had a lot of information. I did have two classmates that were members and they would email material from time to time which helped me a lot. I subscribed about two weeks ago and was accepted: I will difinitely use the material for nrs 3. Our failure/drop out rate from nrs 1 to nrs 2, I think was 30 students down to 23. And from nrs 2 to nrs 3 as far as I know now is 20 students, but I guess I'll see the actuall count in a few weeks.
  3. Hi aaronn2, CCM has a great weekend program. I just passed nursing 2, on my way to nrs 3 in Jan. Thank God. It is a very intense program. I have a full-time job (networking), a four year old son and an understanding boy friend. I'm telling you right off the back, you will have no social life and if you do it will hurt you in the end. All I can say is stay focused and don't get up. The teachers are wonderful, they are all there to help and from day one, they will tell you study the study quide questions and powerpoints, Study and do more Studying but try to understand the concepts of what's being taught. Not understanding is what made it hard for me in nursing 1. I knew the chapters in side and out but not knowing how to apply it as a nursing with the INTERVENTIONS AND the REASONS for them is why I struggled. Fri- 2-5pm Lecture, Sat 8:30am - 11:15 Lab - then 1-3pm Clinical, Sun 7-3pm Clinical. St. Claires and Morristown hospital are great for clinical. I'm going to Clilton this Jan, so I'm not sure how this hospital is. Always stay a week ahead with the leactures and always ask questions. The professors are great, Esp. Prof Horan. Everyone love her. You will be able to listen to the lectures online for nrs 1,2 and 3. You can also download them to your computer using Itunes then to your ipod and listen to them over and over. This really helped me alot. Esp. in Nrs 2. Good Luck and Stay focused.
