hi motherof2, im actually drained already.. its been 6 long months and nothing.. well, as expected, i didnt get the job again.. unfortunately.. im sorry i dont have any idea regarding the background check.. yeah a few hospitals, few slots and almost if not all of the positions are already filled.. wat's up with that? im tired.. but im still hanging on.. i've no choice i've got a kid to raise.. i suggest you call them and check your status.. Let us know how your interview goes" hi ccausey08, im from the inland empire.. well i called them up just to follow up on my app but turned out they interviewed me over the phone, it was worse cause i wasnt that prepared and all. he said he'll contact me next week. maybe for another interview, or worse, inform me that i did'nt get the position.. oh wells, it's not for me to know but im praying coz its been awhile searching for jobs.. i suggest u call them up on monday see what's up with your app. will keep u posted.. ayt

hi everyone, i hear you all. we are on the same boat. its been an agonizing six months of job hunting and no call backs. its frustrating esp. in these times of recession where we cant afford not to work and we have mouths to feed. but thanks for all of you who posted new grad updates. it's very helpful.. thank you guys! kudos! there's still hope. hang on tight! Hi NewestRN_OnTheBlock! i hear you, but you must also look on the brighter side. many of us, new grads are having such a very hard time landing a job in this tight economy. its been 6 months now of job hunting, and i wished i could just have even the kind of job u have. i have a kid and lots of bills to pay. but im still thankful and hopeful because there's not one day that God deprived us of our daily needs. my advice is cherish the kind of job u have at the moment because many want to be in your shoes. thank you lawrence01!!! yeah i was planning to take the NCLEX here in PI since its been offered this year.. but the problem is that the result of the local board will be on february yet.. and if i review for nclex here in PI, im afraid our petition will be granted at that time and by then we will need to move to the US since it takes 3-4 months for a K1 to be granted. this month's the 4th month. (at least thats what uscis told us) ill be just preparing for my NClex requirements while im still here.. do you have any links about the requirements, especially those that need my SChool's files so that when i move to the US i can sit for the exam already... bytheway, will i be able to find any job after changing my status and receiving my SSN?, even not as a nurse yet.. (so that i can save and fund for my nclex exam??) how many months will it take me before i can find a job? thank you so so much!!! youve helped me a lot... Godbless

hi!!! im a bsn grad in the PHils. and just took the local boards last december.. still waiting for the results on february '08... my fiance petitioned me for a K1 visa (petition fo alien fiancee). the uscis received the petition lasT august 2007.. since we are affected by the retrogression, and if ever our petition be approved next year, can i work as an unlicensed practical nurse in Ca while processing fro NCLex? help me... what requirements do i need to get on a job? thanks more power
