I hear the Dubai Health Authority/DOHMS assesses candidates orally? Is there a written examination before or after the oral assessment? Please let me know. I'm leaving by the end of this month.

How to become RN in British Columbia?
Yesterday, October 8, I received an envelope from CRNBC containing a letter stating what I have to accomplish to in order to take the CRNE along with other forms, including Form 18 (Application to Write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination). My name is spelled incorrectly on Form 18. The discrepancy seems like it was caused by whoever typed it. Because my application status online contains the proper spelling and it is typed correctly on the envelope that I received yesterday. To avoid any delays due to the typographical error committed, I've decided to e-mail [email protected]; [email protected] and ask about what action would be best regarding this matter. Any advice?

How to become RN in British Columbia?
On my application status from the CRNBC website: Review of Application Your application was reviewed on... September 18, 2008. Your application and documentation... not complete. You are missing... Employment Reference I've never been employed and I wrote N.A. on for most of what was on Form 16. On the last page of form 16 under Other Professional Nursing Experience, I included 3 training programs which I had attended. I also wrote that I was a Trainee. Any suggestions?

RN's for Queensland, Australia: Application Process
I've read from the Queensland Nursing Council website, that evidence of competent, licensed nursing practice within five years prior to the application is required. If an individual who was educated in the Philippines and has taken and successfully met the Council's required scores on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), were to apply with no prior professional/licensed work experience within the past 5 years, would the individual's application still be processed and eventually be recommended for the Competency Assessment Service (CAS)? Or would the application be denied solely because of the absence of licensed nursing practice? Please reply to this query and bring light to this matter. Thank you in advance.

RN's for Queensland, Australia: Application Process
I'm 22 years old, and I've had my license for a year. I DO NOT however, have (work) experience. I've attended a few training programs and have taken the IELTS. Will I still be allowed to take the Competence Assessment Service (CAS) despite the fact that I've never been employed as a registered nurse? Or will my application for registration be denied solely because of my lack of professional experience. I hope to receive accurate answers regarding this matter. Thank you in advance.

Any hospitals that accept volunteer nurses?
But I understand why a lot of people including yourself think volunteer work isn't relevant.

Any hospitals that accept volunteer nurses?
With all due respect Suzanne, I know someone who has called the Nursing Council of New Zealand and the Council said that volunteer work is relevant and will be considered as experience.

NCLEX Review Philippines
psychelle, did you pay for it online or did you go to one of the Kaplan centers and pay for it there? Thanks. Everyone, I understand that it's possible to do well on the NCLEX-RN without attending a review center, but isn't it too much of a risk? Kaplan Online sounds good to me. Review Centers provide structure to the study plan. It does the same thing school does for us. I mean we all could've bought textbooks and just skipped school, but we attended for guidance and for structure. This doesn't mean that I'm going to attend a review program, but that's just how I feel about it as of now, I guess.

NCLEX Review (Philippines)
I'm a 22 year old nurse in the Philippines, planning to review for the NCLEX-RN exam in a few months. Which review centers have a good review program for the NCLEX-RN? Kaplan and Merge are the closest to where I live, but I've heard of Rachelle Allen and URC. Any replies will be appreciated.

Advice for a 22 year old nurse
It's been a year since I took the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examinatoin. I've attended trainings and seminars and I've take the IELTS and did rather well. I received my NCLEX eligibility letter last week and I intend to review for it a a few months and take the exam ASAP. As far as work experience is concerned, I have none due to the current situation in the Philippines. My long term goal is to work outside the country. With that being mentioned, what should I do after the NCLEX (assuming that I pass) to work in the UAE, Australia, New Zealang or the US? Any advice from nurses that live and work in any of the countries mentioned, will be very much appreciated.

Will it help to take US Certified Post Graduate Training and Seminars from NCCLEX
I guess it depends on who's taking it. Some people actually go there to learn and use the information to their advantage.
