I did take the psb, I though it was so easy. It consisted of four sections: Math, Science, Reading, and Judgement. The math and science were basic, they even let us use a calculator. lol The reading consisted of paragraphs were you had to figure out if the passage was correct with the current spelling or punctuation. This test was done online and you get your results right away. Hope this helped. Good Luck.

I also have to get health insurance. I know what you mean about everytime you turn around there is a new fee. I have to get child abuse clearences, drug testings, uniforms. None of this stuff was covered in the actual tutition. But I'm so thankful I got in, so I guess I cant sweat the small stuff. Good luck eveyone!!

HLZsoon2Blpn I had one question for you, the books that you have to buy for the progam can we be purchase them online, or is that something they make you buy from the school? I was just wondering because I found alot of these books on ebay but reading the information that was sent it seems like I MUST purchase them there.

I was just accepted into the LPN program at the Johnstown Campus and start in Sept. I am very excited about it. I know that there are a wealth of opportunities once we do graduate. Maybe we could start an online study group..:chuckle

I know what you mean by trying to get your degree by forty. I am thirty-four and hope to get accepted this year so that I can start with my degree. I have two kids and know the stress of just trying to do something for yourself. Everytime I think about your situation I get upset for you. I can't understand how an institution could make a mistake like that. I dont believe none of the reasons they gave you are acceptable. I will pray for you and I still hope everything works out for you.

OMG, I am sooo sorry to hear that happened to you! You have every right to feel confused and angry. Did they give you any reason as to why you received the letter? Are they requesting that you take the NLN test again? My only advise to you is, dont give up on your dreams, no matter how far away they may seem. I hope everything works out well for you!

I just got my scores back today. I scored in the 80th percentiile on all three areas, with a compostie of 114. Its not as high as everyone else's but I'm sooo excited. That's more than enough to get into the school I wanted. YAY!!

Thanks Goldie!! I agree there are alot of questions not covered in the study guide. The math, oh my I have never seen so many fractions on a test. I do remember alot from the verbal, hope I did well on that, but the science Yikes!! I couldn't remember anything!! It was like new wave science. I thought it was very hard. i remember words like raze, Insolent, belligerant I think I got those correct but who knows. This is my second time taking the test. Hope I did better!!

Hello I am taking the Nursing pre-entrance exam this Saturday, any advise?

I am applying to several different Nursing Schools in my area. One school requires that we take Psychological Services Bureau Aptitude for practical Nursing Examinations (PSB) anyone have any idea what this test is about? Has anyone taken this test and could give me more information?

Imm1019 You said that you took the NLN 4 times, I will probably need to take the test again. Is there a waiting period between the test, or is that something you can take the next time the test is offered?

oops I was looking at the wrong score, the composite score was 102 I was looking at the composite percentile score, silly me :rotfl:. thanks that really helped me.

well the 56 was under the column of of all so I'm guessing that is the composite score

I got an overall score of 56, they were looking for a 60, so I guess I will be taking them again
