I have another follow-up question... If ever the BON of Saipan wont accept my AMA units, and Ive already passed the deadline. Do I have to have my license reinstated?

@classicdame: the courses i took were for doctors and nurses. It was just that the units i got were for the doctors (AMA)... hehe. @Lotte: my letter says that i have to take 30 units every year. Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it!

I passed the NCLEX for Northern Marianas almost a year ago and now it's about time to renew my license. I received my renewal letter April 23, 2009 and the letter said that the CEUs that will be accounted for should be taken before April 30, 2009. I managed to finish my 30units within 3 days (So, I finished around April 26). I took my CE at www.medscape.com... Unfortunately, my medscape account was set for medical students since I'm also currently a first year medical student. I hadn't realized that I had been taking the wrong units until I got to the 28th unit. I made the proper corrections and so now I have 28 units of AMA (for doctors CE) units and only 2 units of ANCC (Nurse's CEU). I wrote an email to medscape staff if it was possible to have my credits converted to the nursing type. I sent it on April 26 and that they said they would reply within 2 business days (April 28). I have also been busy lately studying... It is now May 3 and they still haven't replied. I tried reading all the fine print in the website and as it turns out the credits are not "exchangeable..." I know that most of this has been my fault for being so careless. So, I now have 2 choices: Should I just have my license inactivated or pay $300 for my carelessness (which I dont have)? I may be in med school but I do have plans on working as a nurse after I graduate from medicine. i would gladly appreciate the advice.

PearsonVue just gives out the test, BON handles the results.. Thing is, I dunno how else to contact the BON in Saipan.. they're not answering!

i wouldnt suggest calling the BON in Saipan for results... (1) the pamphlet we got after the test says we shouldnt call, (2) i called (hehe), but they won't answer... I spent P100 already just to listen to their answering machine over and over... Try calling PearsonVue in Manila first... ask for advice on your situation..

hey! im from cebu.. took the exam april 23, 2008 in manila (for saipan)... and today's may 30... no result yet... 75 questions... Psychelle.. i think you should contact the board of Nursing in MArianas... explain your situation and I think they'll advise you on how you can get your results without having to contact the seemingly non-existent-anymore nclex processing center... I hope you get your results soon... Good Luck to all of us... hehehehe!

Ianjel... i think we took the same exam.. April 23, 9am... in manila... havent got my results yet... I applied for Saipan- no website, hafta call long distance..

the kitty is well taken care of... but is most attached to my patient. Im sure her daughter will take good care of the cat.. But the cat is very old (i think).. around 10 years...

hi,.. im a home care nurse for an elderly woman with stage 4 esophageal cancer. She has a central line for her TPN... She also has a pet cat, which she is really attached to. im just worried about the cat which i let stay in her room... will it affect the integrity of the central line? I dont want to deprive her of her pet.. any advice?
