Is this unacceptable pay??
Your pay basically depends on where you live in the country, experience and your state certification. Personally I think that is a fairly low salary. My mother is a CNA and she makes about $16.00 or $17.00 per hour. Try your hardest to get into a hospital they pay more and the benefits are great. Plus remember when you go on interviews, sell your self, and if asked for your desired salary start high; roughly 2 or 3 dollars per hour higher than the normal range, who knows they make take this into consideration. Starting salaries are important because it may take you a long time to increase your base salary; especially due to our current situation with the economy!

Navy Officer Indoctrination School tips
Hello, I was just picked up for the Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program, to be a Navy Nurse. I am in the Navy already; I will transition to the Officer community once I complete my nursing degree in the fall. I already hold an undergraduate in Health Care Management and currently working on my M.B.A. I will be attending ODS, this is all new to me; and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what I should be doing to get ready for training. I am on their website now; and I have also downloaded a running program from the site as well. All tips are appreciated, I look forward to hearing from you all.
