  1. Hi kujiE! We're tracking the same path. I am a two-year registered nurse here in the Phil. I already have CGFNS certificate and passed also NCLEX. My application in the US is on going but I got also interested to work in AU. The first thing you must do is to look at certain state in AU where you want to be registered then browse their website and download their forms and submit all the necessary requirements for the assessment. As of this moment until the first week of February, Im just waiting for the result of the assessment in Sydney...Unfortunately Im expecting that they would require me to undergo the bridge program which is really quite expensive.. So Im having a second thought of going to other country instead just to save money for that bridge program. As far as I know, the bridge program will cost for about less than a hundred thousand pesos. Plus you will take the program in AU, so it would be an advantage for you if you do have relatives there for easy accomodation. Good luck for both of us!
  2. hi erwin.. just want to ask how did you pay the assessment fee? Did you use credit card? I dont have credit card, how can I pay the assessment fee? Most of the banks here in the Philippines dont release a bank draft which is in Australian dollar. Hoping for your reply asap. Thanks!
  3. Ops! yeah i forgot you are an australian. lol! Thanks anyway...GREETINGS!!!
  4. Thank you gwenith! I am planning to register in NSW. Would you recommend it? Thanks!
  5. Hi Grace! Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it because I know you want to help.May I know where do you live? 'coz you said you're not from NSW.May I also ask where is BLACKWATER located? Thanks!

  8. I already downloaded their booklet. Im now completing the requirements... So what are your plans? Will you take the RN challenge test?
  9. Oh by the way! Erwin, do you have agency? or planning to look for one? Maybe they can offer financial help... What do you think? May i also ask, What batch do you belong and do you have any working experience? Thanks!
  10. Hi erwin! What if I choose to undergo 7 week assessment? How much would that be? May I ask when did you send your requirements? And how long did you wait for the result of the assessment? Thanks!
  11. Thank you so much for that! Have a great day!
  12. Hi erwin! I am also planning to work in NSW. I'm still completing the requirements for the registration. Im also worried about that bridge program. So did you already passed your papers for assessment in NSW? Do you already have agency? I heard the bridge program costs $4000! Such a huge amount isn't it? Huhuhuhu..
  13. Hello to all of you nurses from adelaide and brisbane! How's your work going on there? Hope you're all doing great and having a good time! May I just ask gwenith and smilenurse, what is your nationality? Are you also a Filipino like me? If YES - I will ask HOW DID YOU GET THERE? If NOT - I will ask DO YOU KNOW SOME AGENCIES THAT WILL HELP ME TO GET THERE? Thank you so much! I'm so desparate to go to Australia!! huhuhuhuhu....
  14. Hi GRACE OZ! Im a newbee in this forum. Im a nurse here in the philippines with nearly 2 yrs of experience. I already passed the IELTS, CGFNS and NCLEX which are all exams for USA. But because of the retrogression I have changed my mind to go to Australia instead of USA. I plan to work in NSW and I'm now preparing the necessary requirements for the registration. I really dont know how it is to work there and how to apply. I dont have any agency at this point.. Would you suggest me to find one or I would apply by myself? Do you know some agencies that you might recommend to me? And about the bridge program. Do you think I have to undergo and emrol for that program? Or will I just take the licensure exam without having that bridge program? I heard the program costs $4000.. Wow! That's a pretty huge amount! Hope you can help me with this one.. Thank you so much! God Bless!
  15. I already passed the IELTS just last month and luckily met the required score for Australia...That's why Im in a hurry to be there before it expires.. $4000! Oh wow! That's a quite huge amount. I think I need to find an agency that will offer support. Uhm, do you know some agencies? Or if none, do you know where can I find them? Thanks! God bless!
  16. Thanks for the help. Well as of now, Im preparing the requirements needed for the registration in NSW. Someone told me that the processing there is quite faster than the other state like Queensland. May I just ask suzzane reagrding the 6months bridge program. Will I receive any compensation for that? or I will pay for that bridge program? And do i need to have agency as I go along with my application? Thanks!
  17. Oh by the way, I already got nearly two years working experience. Would that be enough for me not to take the program? Thanks!
  18. Hi to the both of you! Thanks for the reply. Well, I just asked that kind of question because I am confused about where to go. I already passed IELTS, CGFNS and NCLEX, but I don't have visa yet. I am aware about the retrogression that's why I plan to work first in Australia while waiting for the lifting of the retro in US. But I am also thinking what if I surrender my chance of going to US for Australia? Dont you think I will regret it? I dont have any idea about the life in OZ, including the cost of living and salaries of nurses there. Hope you can help with this one. Thanks!
  19. As a nurse, where do you prefer to work? Australia or USA? Why?
