  1. Ok, so I just got hired on an Oncology floor today! I'm a new grad too! I'm glad ya'll are there w/ me. I'll def. be back her to ask PLENTY of questions. Good luck you guys!
  2. I used Saunders and Hurst. But, honestly ...I know you've heard this a million times..but you can't really study for it! I heard the same thing and still studied, but now I know it didn't really help too much. I felt that most of it was common sense. I mean, don't get me wrong, there was A LOT of stuff I didn't know but you just have to make educated guesses on those. I would recomend doing it ASAP. I scheduled mine the week after pinning and I'm so glad it's over and I'm a RN!
  3. I just found out yesterday that I passed my NCLEX!!!!!! I'm officially a Registered Nurse! Now I just have to find a job...eh.
  4. This girl in my class showed us how she remembered it. She told us to remember VEAL CHOP V- variable --> C-cord compression E-early --> H-head compression A- O-(I don't think these really had imp. meaning) L-late --> P- placenta insuffieciency
  5. Answer is def B. I knew it before I even saw it! We have talked about that in class and I also had that as a question for the hurst review!
  6. Yea I did have to pay for it. It was $350. But I reallly think it's worth it. You get a book and come Cds for your comp w/ other info on it. It's a five day class from like 9-5 or something like that. You can take it as many times as you want also until you take the boards. I took it in Dec and am gonna take it again when I grad before boards. The man that lectured us was HILARIOUS so it made the class awesome. They really know how to make it interesting. And if you don't pass the boards they will give you a refund ..but it shouldn't come down to that. I would look it up bc it's a really awesome review.
  7. Hi! I am graduating in May also! I'm soooo excited but nervous. I'm not too worried about the NCLEX right now, but I'm worried about my classes! It's is getting so fast paced and I feel like I have a million papers due this semester. But if I can pass Med Surg I can pass anything! Anywho, I took the Hurst Review in Dec and will take it again in May. I loooooved it. It put everything I ever learned in nursing together..made it all fit. Our school required that we take a review course, and I'm glad.
  8. Hey guys, didn't realize I wasn't very specific! The class is Trends and Issues in Nursing and basically the presentation needs to be about an issue in nursing. We've (my online class) already discussed a number of things and I wanted to do something that we haven't talked about yet. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm gonna do now. I was thinking about doing it on MRSA. It's something that is in the news today and I can teach my class all about it. But thanks for your help! It's very nice to know that I can't post a question and get so much help!
  9. Hi guys, I've been surfing the web trying to find a topic for a presentation that's due in like 2 weeks. It has to be a nursing issue...that's all. Pretty vaugue, I know...that's why I can't think of something really good. So if anyone has some ideas, I would LOVE the help. By the way I'm a student (Senior..yay!). This is my first time on here. What a great site!
