  1. BeforeI left UK I just renewed my registration and still active up to now. Thanks a lot.
  2. Anybody please give me some advice...I once worked a staff nurse in one of the hospital in midlands, I resigned( with a very heavy heart) from my post almost 1 1/2 years ago to be with my kids and become a full time mom here in the philippines. But I really want to go back to my career. Is there any chance I can work again in UK. thank you.
  3. thank you very much for your advice. his developmental pediatrician dont want to prescribe medication yet hopefully he wont need it in the future. what i am worried about is his future, what if he cant comply with the rules, what if he cant cope with his studies..aah!there are so may worries here in my mind.
  4. yes, iam a nurse.
  5. I have a 4 year old boy who was just recently diagnosed of hyperactivity syndrome, the pedia specialist said due to his age she wont say ADHD yet.But it is the same thing isn't.I know something is different from my child compared to his cousins and other kids because he is always on the go and never stopped telling stories, but hearing those words from the specialist really broke my heart. My tears were unstoppable during that hour session. Now we are enrolled in a therapy school for behavioral modification in caloocan x2 week.It is very expensive and slashed our budget greatly. Due to his behavior more often than not we lost our emotions and composure and scolded him, worst spanked him.We tried the naughty corner or 4 mins time out with no effect at all.Is there any mom or dad who are in the same boat as ours, how do you deal with yours??
  6. i did it once and I can still remember my patient's face was in agony, it was very painful.I felt guilty and made a promise not to do it again unless in critical situation
  7. in my former work area in uk nurses do the chest drains removal, except for mediatinal drain, it's the doctors' job. we asked the patients to practice holding their breath for 3 seconds. then when confident already that they can follow we do the job.wounds should be closed as fast as posible to prevent air from going in.

  11. when i was in high school i want to be like my cousin, a PT, who is working in USA ever since. My only goal then is to work abroad and end more money. Then demands for nurses came from all over the world "woW" maybe I should change plan!!" I graduated and and landed in different countries but not in America, where everybody beleives it is a land of milk and honey (hey! is it true there?) I never regret my chosen field (well...sometimes when my stress from work is neck high.)And I am happy that my two other siblings are nurses too.
  12. I was once aiming to go to saudi due to high salary and other benifits but was discouraged by my father who was a contract worker there..and according to him, unfortunately all these things happened and women are always at risk.
