  1. I love my Littman Classic II SE.. i was around $62 from allheart.com
  2. I bought my Littman from allheart.com & was very satisfied with them
  3. I would start earning Vitamins & Minerals & the deficiency/toxicity that can occur. Also what foods they can be found in. I wish our instructor would have told us at Orientation to start learning those, that was the hardest test we've had so far in Nutrition, mainly because it's alot of memorization.
  4. Monday through Thursday 9 - 3 No school or clinical on fridays. woo hoo!
  5. Thanks so much for the replies! I highlight the important stuff in my book & write the extras down, but I think I'm going to try the flashcards too! I'm trying so hard to stay motivated. I know it's hard now, but it will be so worth it when I'm through! Good Luck to ya'll!
  6. I am so upset with myself! I'm in my 1st quarter of LPN school and I've failed my 1st two tests this week. The 1st in Nutrition & Diet Therapy and the other in Nursing Fundamentals. I studied hard, well at least I thought I did! Ugh! I'm so upset because I feel like I won't be able to make it. We have to have a 70% average in each class to sit for our final, so I've got lots of work to do! I guess I just needed to vent for a few minutes!! How do you guys study? Flashcards, just reading the material or what? I need some motivation!
  7. sc is on our list of abbreviations that we can't use anymore either. We had to do our homework on old worksheets that had this question. Thanks everyone for the help!
  8. I started school last wednesday, and have pharm. class, only on mondays. So right now, I'm kinda drawing a blank!! The instructor showed us one way to do this & a girl in our class showed us an easier way.. and I can't remember either one! Our 1st assignment question is... Give Heparin 5000 units sc q12 hours. Available is heparin 10,000 units/ml/ How many ml's will be given at each dose? Yea, I know, how simple! But can anyone show me how they do these? Thank you so much!
  9. I hope today went good for you! I start my first day tomorrow & I am excited, but nervous too!
  10. I start Oct. 1st & I can't wait
  11. I am in my first quarter of nursing school & I had a quick question about the PSB test that your supposed to take before you can get into the LPN nursing program. There are a few students at my school who have taken this test and failed. And supposedly if you fail this test, you have to change your major at this school. I am just a little confused about it. They are kinda pushing nursing students to go ahead and take it, but I think it may be just to kind of 'weed' students out of wanting to get in the nursing program. I've tried to talk to my advisor, but she hasnt got in contact with me yet. My question is: Does anyone know what this test consists of? I don't want to fail this test, especially if I'm gonna have to change my major because of this. I didn't know if they're would be questions about things that I wasn't really knowledgable about yet. (medical terms, etc.) I really want to be a nurse. I want to become an LPN and then an RN specializing on Pediatric Care. Please someone help! Thanks :)
