lpn to rn program at hohokus ramsey!
Hello Everyone, Well I know to gvet in to either program LPN or LPN to RN you must take the TEAS exam. The one to get in the LPN program I would study all parts including science (hey you never know, you don't want any surprises). The exam to get into the LPN to RN program is like a LPN NCLEX exam, I suggest to practice from a LPN NCLEX review book (such as Saunders or Lippincott) focus on whatever you are weak in and everything else of course. You have 2 chance to take the exam in one year if you failed it the first time. The TEAS exam is 3 hours long $50 fee for the LPN to RN program, you have to be working as a LPN for 6 months and you have to have (if you are not a returning student to their facility) A&P I and A&P II with a lab done prior to admission. They accept english 101, Psychology has to have been taken within 10 years of admission. The A&P and chemistry has to be within 5 years of admission. The totaltuition is approx $30,000 for books, uniform, courses, & clinicals. 10 months full time during the day and 2 years part time in the evening. That is the whole kit and kaboodle of how to get in Eastwick Hohokus LPN to RN bridge program. I don't know if this was any help to anyone because I went to rockland BOCES for my LPN. BOCES cost about $8000 for 10 month full time day programand the entrance exam is basic english and math, I prepared for that exam with a GED book focusing mostly on the math such as fractions, decimals, percentage, ratio, etc. They are still giving exams to enter september program until may.

Nursing Shortage in Atlanta?
Hi Noelle, I don't know if you are a RN or a LPN. But I juust moved out to GA from NY as a LPN and there are jobs but they all require experience as gansu stated. I have been a LPN for 2 years and have been told that my resume is impressive but does not fit what they are looking for. I have even applied for CNA, PCT, and HHA positions but since I am not certified for those positions I was not considered for them. How is one going to get experience if you are not willing to hire them to do the job? The pay rate for LPN's can start as low as $12 to $18 depending on what type of facility you are working in. RN's get around $20 to about $30, but again it depends on what facility it is and your experience. I wish you luck !

Hello my fellow nurses, i just recently moved to GA and I have no time for traditional schools to continue my RN degree. I was thinking of Rue College, but if anyone know of anything better that I can do online or self study PLEASE, inform a fellow nurse, thank you.

Anyone know of any dialysis programs in GA that cater to LPN
Hi Everyone, I have been a LPN for the past 3 years but I have homecare experience. I have just recently moved to GA and i want to get into the field of hemodialysis. I was wondering if anyone know of any dialysis programs in GA that cater to LPN certification as a CHN. There is a program in NY via online called Dialysis4careers and they claim that you will get employed but I am a bit skeptical about it. Then in Decatur, GA there is a progrm called "The World Outreach Medical Institute" they have a 9 week program that is fairly new for medical professions that I am skeptical about also. I just dont want to spend the money and not be able to get employed within the field. Help me out my fellow Nurses !!!
