I'm in Michigan and have found Maxim staffing to yes be young, but way more knowledgable and "to the point" about facilities and my circumstances. I highly recommend Maxim, my only tip is that you answer your phone for the most up-to-date assignments.
I live in southern michigan and have had a couple of RN's that i know go into corrections- Loving IT! They needed basic med-surg w/ 1yr overall experience. I don't know much about LPN's doing corrections. i would check into staffing agencies, they usually have better luck getting your resume in the right hands.
I found that going through an agency is a huge help. they have a better idea of where you would fit in and can get your resume in a higher position that just HR.
