What if the practice is strongly encouraged by the immediate supervisor or director?

Is it a HIPAA violation to endorse narcotic medications by reading it aloud and completely (name of patient, medication & dose, and number of pills) even when patients are around? This is in a LTC setting. Is there a specific policy/law with regards to this?

I've been hearing people saying that, its going to open sometime in may... and i know that i should not listen to them.. where do they even get that... :angthts:

I-539: If you are an M-1 student, you are not eligible for a change to F-1 status, and you are not eligible for a change to any H status if the training you received as an M-1 helps you qualify for the H status. Also, you may not be granted a change to M-1 status for training to qualify for H status.-- Of course I want to do things legally, as the consequences is just going to be unbearable. Don't worry I'm a scaredy cat and i probably won't try risking all of it. I'm just trying to get some ideas, options....

maybe i am... but i'm actually thinking of nursing as my fallback for the moment.. sounds crazy eh! i'm just trying to cover my bases.. i want to get new skills and opportunities in other health fields. coz the retrogression isn't going to end soon, & i still have mouths to feed and bills to pay hehe I might be making a mistake, so lets weigh in on some options...

so does it mean i could still get to work as a nurse since you are not allowed to work if your work is related to your studies? just clarifying...

I wish to take up an unrelated course to nursing so i could further my skills and opportunities. So if I am on an M1 status and my application for licensure by exam is completed and approved, will my 'nursing status' (opportunity for work as a nurse, etc.) be affected?

i think i have a problem... i have submitted my application last july 07 and i still haven't received my att... i already tried calling them and emailing them but their response was that they were processing the backlogs... i am getting really worried about this... hoping for some kind help

ok.. one quick question, if you have an M1 status and have passed the nclex (and all the licensure by exam processes that comes with it) within the duration of the M1 status, will your application be affected? and then you discontinue the M1 status and pursue the nursing one?
