  1. In the packet, the letter from Meridy's said the order/payment deadline was Nov. 14th. That is why I already ordered my uniforms and probably the same for most other people. If I would've known that was an option, I may have chosen that route instead. I'm beginning to worry that my pants will be too small- but hey, it's a good motivation to quickly begin losing some weight!!
  2. yea, that's a good idea..
  3. Any of you for the day program that lives in Orange Park?
  4. Isn't that crazy since there was a big, bold statement across thier page stating that the drawstring's ran very big for females???
  5. School of acceptance: Florida Community College of Jax Science GPA: 3.33 Cumulative GPA: 3.73 Our school does not look at Gpa's (just has to be at least a 2.0) Everything is based on a point system; as a result though, those with a higher gpa have a higher number of points. You must also do well on the NAT as that score can definitely impact your total points.
  6. Which pants are running small- elastic or drawstring?
  7. That's good to know... At least we have a little more time before spending all that money! This whole process is so expensive!!! Apparently, I should've been saving for this, and didn't know it- It's not real good timing, considering Christmas is just around the corner!! At least we're in though- I'm definitely thankful for that!
  8. sorry for so may questions: it's just for me they are 2 diff. sizes, based on which one I go by. I'd like to know which seems to be more accurate
  9. so did you choose according to your current size or your measurements?
  10. did you order your uniforms by the size you wear? I thought the sizes and measurements didn't match... I'm having a hard time deciding what to order: I just had a baby, so I plan on losing weight over the next few months or longer. I don't want to order some pants but have them be too big if I continue to lose my "baby weight"
  11. one more suggestion... try to take the easy classes in 8 wks...it works out much better! then you'd only be taking 2 at a time, but 4 per semester
  12. I am only 21, but a SAHM to 3: ages 5, 14 months, and 10 weeks. I started my prereqs last year, right after I had my son. 4 months after he was born, I got pregnant again. I've been in school full-time ever since, throughout the entire pregnancy, pre-term labor and all. This semester, my classes (on campus) began when my daughter was 4 days old. I have not slept one night in over 14 months (my son had many medical issues also) and have made all A's except one. I just recently got accepted into the Nursing program and will begin in Jan. So, YES! You can do it! If you're unsure, maybe go for only 3. I would not recommend you taking all the "easy" classes up front- I would recommend taking maybe 2 "easy" classes w/ one science. If you take all the "easy" classes up front, you will be left with only the harder sciences to take all together at once, which would be much more difficult! Also, my suggestion is to try to take more online classes- I have taken everything online except all sciences and maths. It lessens the time you must spend away from your children. Just have the determination and tell yourself you're sacrificing now to be able to provide better for them in the future... You will get through it and be just fine! Good luck!
  13. I'll need to use my financial aid vouchers to buy my books, which I was told would be available for orientation... If I had that extra money, I'd definitely buy them via Amazon and then just wait for my check in the mail... Have you guys already ordered your uniforms? The size charts on the website seem a little off to me... ?!
  14. They'll have all our books available to buy at Orientation? Not sure how I'll afford that!!! Financial aid has always taken care of everything for me- I won't have it in time for that though. I was going to try Solantic.. Do you know if Northside Medical Clinic is cheaper than them? Also, do you have to make an appt. there for the physical/shots? I know you don't for the drug test. So far, I have completed the online background check and fingerprinting. Still, a lot to do! It doesn't say specifically in our paperwork: Do our shoes have to be ALL white? And is there a certain type we have to have? Also, I thought I read in another post that we could get our pants from somewhere other than the online compay they provided.. Is that true? It's hard to know which ones to order online, since you can't try them on!! Drawstring or not? Any info. would help....
  15. It's actually called Worksource. The website is www.worksourcefl.com I have an appt. to talk with the lady in Clay County next week. Definitely call them!! And, Congrats!
