Hired as Dialysis nurse
A week ago i was interviewed by two dialysis nurses after conversation they gave me papers for drug screen and undergo background check. just yesterday they called me and said that all were cleared and I'm Hired and all i have to do is to show up to the training center these coming week ang bring all the important documents. Here's the thing by that phone call i've had mentioned and asked for their permission that I'm going for a 2 weeks trip (in the middle of training) to accompany my husband for his work in military these was pre-planned over a month ago and bought already the ticket and also told that if it is complicated to them i said that i'm willing to cancel my trip because in the long term this job was important to me. the Nurse who hired me told me to wait for her call because she needs to talk to the trainer if these will affects the schedules. anyways, is it too late? are they gonna change their mind of hiring me? because of these trip? i thought about these all night since i'm still not signing anything... they still have the chance to change their mind... right now i'm waiting for the call. Please help me for assurance coz right now i'm still anxious about what i've sed.

Help! What, How to prepare for a Job
I need tips on how can you prepare for this event. One of my friend is RN in Hemodialysis. She's helping me to get into their clinic. she said that after her Boss saw my resume he did asked my friend that I have to go to their clinic and fill up an application form? Has anyone of you experience a situation like this? I have no idea. Are they gonna interview me or just fill up the application and go? What do you think should i do before hand: What to wear? What to bring? Thank you in advance :)

What TO DO?
I've been stagnant for 5 years as BSN graduate, pursuing to become a nurse i took my NCLEX and passed over 6 months ago, got TX License by endorsement about 4 weeks. Been applying for several hospitals yet no feedback. It's like I'm losing all my clinical experiences and losing my knowledge as RN. i knew that i would be a great nurse :nurse:. it's just that the economy is getting in the way. One thing that been bothering me is that, maybe recruiters doesn't like my resume a "5 year ----gap and with no experience as RN at all". Been thinking and researching " REFRESHER COURSE" seems nice to take? although i know it doesn't help me to get a job asap but i know it will be a good help to restart all the nursing memories that has been fading. Does anyone of you have idea about the program near fort worth?... please Help me find the answer.

Very Confusing by ENDORSEMENTplease help
first of all thanks for all the replies... for gentledv09... i took the California NCLEX since before they don't have mandatory requirements of CGNFS in which you have to be RN license from your country before you get this exam... that was why i took the oppurtunity to take their NCLEx exam.

Very Confusing by ENDORSEMENTplease help
please help me on this... i applied for endorsement here in texas from california. i never had any experience as an RN since i just passed my NCLEX 5 months ago. I'm a foreign graduate. Here's the thing i already completed the Texas BON requirement for endorsement : fingerprint, credentials from the school, passed the NJE, and they just got the VOL from California. i called a while ago to know my Status and told me that they also need VOL from my country. huh? i just stated that i never worked as an RN in my country since i don't have any license over there.and the reason why i don't have any license is because i was in the middle of processing my petition here in US by my husband so why should i took exam right?. and they asked me if i use to work as RN then i stated that i worked as a volunteer student nurse not as an RN for 6 months. overall they told me that they need the VOL? what should i do?

For now what i did : 1. Called the school to request the thing that the Tx BON need. 2. Planning to send VOL + Fee to California this week 3. planning to send the application form + fee to Tx BON this week 4. This is what i'm really confused when should i plan to do the fingerprinting??? is the fingerprinting card included with the application form and fee to be send ??? or is the L1id (fingerprint) will send it directly to the Tx BON???? 5. How long should i wait till the Tx BON allow me to take the exam online? 2-3-4 months??? 6. is the exam really hard? Please please share you thoughts ....

It's taking me forever to finish exam cram cd questions
i did the same thing and i'm not comfortable at all ... what i did was i changed my method. i used the book itself complete the questions chapter 1-2-3-4-5 250 questions/day finished the book for about 5 days then i gave 2 weeks before i went to simulated part so that there's no familiarizing the questions while in that 2 weeks i did a bunch of questions and answers with other books like Lacharity, lippincott and saunders or if you have difficulty on those chapters (i'm referring the exam cram) read some notes or disease that you're not familiar with. and guess what it works! ... Exam cram really helped me alot... i passed at 75 3 weeks ago. Good Luck to you guys study hard and pray.
