  1. I work the 7-3 shift, and it is a med/surg/telemetry floor. I applied online, and didn't hear anything for a week or so, so I called them asking if they had seen my application yet, and later that day I got a call for an interview. I was interviewed twice, then they offered me the job. You have to send an application to take the CNA test, and they give you the date and place to take it. http://www.prometric.com/NurseAide/FL.htm I think you should try calling them about a week after you applied online. Good luck!
  2. I'm a pre-nursing student and I recently got a job as a CNA at Mease Countryside hospital. I did take the test to get certified, but I had no CNA experience before this job. They trained me during my first days there with a preceptor. They are also sending me to a class to become a PCT soon.
  3. I can't tell you for sure about any of those schools, but have you thought about USF? I just got accepted there for the spring semester with a 3.7 GPA.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I already applied, I'm just wondering what my chances are. I'm only taking 2 classes this semester, so it probably won't help my gpa too much, but I'll apply again for the summer admission I guess if I dont get in. I'm also considering going to HCC to get my ASN, then back to USF for the RN to BSN. How do you like the accelerated nursing program??
  5. Does anyone know what the cutoff GPA tends to be at USF? I just applied to the upper division admission for the Bachelor's Degree program, I have a 3.7 GPA right now. My advisor told me that last semester's lowest GPA was a 3.67, but other people have told me that it's more like a 3.8. If anyone knows anything about this I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!
