How many visitors in the ED?
Ours is as many as want to come in - no limit - customer satisfaction is our motto. Let me put this out there...I don't want to start anything ..... but ...... has anyone else noticed that the problem with overcrowding is much worse with a lower socioeconomic population. Along with that (in general) there tends to be a lower education level - and when these two are combined translates into an over crowding issue in the ER

What happens...
"It was a good thing we all were able to get her to go to the hospital, otherwise we would have REALLY been between a rock and a hard place. " This comment alone is enought to frustrate any ER Nurse, not to mention physician. My question would be what was the ER supposed to do? Ever try to find a hospitalist or Family Care Practitioner to admit with a diagnosis of "No where else to go"? I'll bet Case Management had a field day with that - not to mention the CFO _ the hospital just provided ANOTHER free stay.

What would you change about your scrubs?
I'm one of those people who creates a show every time I bend over unless I'm wearing something under my shirt - I'm 5'2 but also a 38C. A small is too small but a medium has too low of a neck line. Please make me something so all I need to wear is a scrub top - I hate layering - it just makes me look bigger. For my pants - I want front seams so I look tailored, an elastic waist in the back and draw string in the front - anything to minimized the "middle age" "oh yeah - she's had kids" pooch in the front. I would also like the flare with the above specs. Color - our color is dictated by non-scrub wearing management - has to be royal blue - so please put some color along the edges. We don't mass muster with the neon green that is so popular now but a black or contrasting blue would be nice.
