  1. Succinylcholine is also contraindicated in pts. with significant burns or crush injuries. Puts them at risk for hyperkalemia. Chronic renal failure patients would not be good candidates either.
  2. Your facility should have a "protocol guide" for administering IV meds, piggy backs, etc. That would be your "bible". Ours sits on top of the pyxis for easy access.
  3. I would be interested in hearing how other ED's schedule lunch breaks and manage patient coverage during those times. I realize "breaks" are far and few in the ED, but would like to know how other departments plan for them. Thanks in Advance!
