  4. Hello ALL: I need to share my story about my NLCEX-RN exam journey. I graduated from State College of Florida with an A.S. Degree in Nursing (R.N.) Bradenton, Florida in May 2007. I took my rn exam twice through Florida Board of Nursing i.e in July 2007- 75 questions, October 2007-76 questions. Then I took 3 times through Georgia Board of Nursing i.e. in June 2008 while pregnant with my daughter- 75 questions, October 2008- 75 questions 37 weeks pregnant, November -2009- 108 questions. I was near passing in 6 categories and below passing in 2 i.e Physiological Adaptation, and Health Promotion and Maintenance. This was the first time I got 108 questions. I talked to one of my classmates and she told that I came very close to passing but didn't due to 2 categories. This will be 6th time taking my test and I am going through Indiana Board of Nursing. I took Kaplan-online live class for 3 months and my average q-bank score was 65%, Diagnostic Exam Score was :49%, Readiness exam score was 98%. I have taken Question trainer 1 - 68% and rest I have to take as I have all on a cd. I also practiced questions through Prioritization, delegation, and assignment by Linda La Charity. I am taking my test again in Feb 2011. I am really scared and nervous. Please pray for me that i pass my test this time. Also tell me based on my scores what is the possibility of the outcome can be i.e am i ready or not. As you never feel ready for this test. Please help and any suggestions or input is really appreciated.

  8. Hi All, I have taken NCLEX 4 times now, and unfortunately not passed. I have always remained at 75 questions, and last time (Last Thu) didn't face any math questions, like many of you have posted here. I had a good feeling after the exam and had gone with with Suzanne's plan preparation, and also read from Kaplan book. I am at my wits' ends here, and scratching my head as to what else I can do. I graduated over a year ago, and have never worked since finishing the program. I just don't know how to overcome this barrier, without which all my effort seems to have gone waste. Considering the acute labor shortage that this profession faces and tanking economy, you'd think boards or government would come up with a better testing system to help people pass and enter the workforce (perhaps not have to take all the sections all over, the ones where you have demonstrated passing ability). I am also expecting any day..and this stress is unbearable! Any advice would be highly appreciated. I plan to take it now in next 6 months, after I have my baby. Thanks all..this forum has been super helpful...
  9. I didn't pass my NCLEX-Rn exam the 2nd time. I am planning to go through Georgia Board of Nursing comapred to Florida. In Florida you are given only 3 chances and then you have to take a remedial course and in Georgia you have 3 years time limit from the date you graduate to pass the exam every 91 days and no CEU's as compared to Florida has 25CEU's. I have already mailed my application to Georgia Board of Nursing and Florida also so that they can mail my official NClex RN exam scores to georgia. I am also planning to work for the VA Hospital once I get my license and that is a Federal Job and they don't care in which state you are licensed. Once must be licensed in any of the states nationwide. Kindly Pray for me that I should pass my exam the 3rd time and also get my U.S.A. Citizenship because I am originally from India, as it is stuck in FBI name check for the past 2 years, as mentioned above that I want to work the VA Hospital and they require proof of citizenship. Thanks to all.
