  1. When I was a CNA back in the early 90s, I used to give my residents showers on the evening shift before I put them back to bed. I couldn't stand them being smelly and sitting on the shower chair actually help them have a BM and empty out their bladders. Man, the NOC CNA's loved me for that and the residents seem more relaxed in bed afterwards. As for giving baths late at night, not a good idea. Too cold for that.
  2. I like 12 hour shifts and having more days off to recuperate.
  3. Good job recognizing the change of condition.
  4. I'm an LVN and a EMT-Basic. So naturally, I want to be an RN and a Paramedic.
  5. I had to retake microbiology and introduction to physiology again because it's been 7 years since I last took the classes. It's funny, I got an "A" in micro and a "B-" in physiology years ago. I took these classes again the last 2 semesters and I've gotten an "A" in micro and actually improved my grade to a "B" in physiology this past Summer semester. Still ticks me off that I had to retake these classes again considering I'm an experienced LVN.
