I suggest you request a meeting with the school district attorney, appraise him/her of the situation before a legal problem arises. He can set her straight as far as the legal issues go. DO NOT PUT YOUR LICENSE IN JEPORDY.

You have not gotten over it or you would not be relating the incident to us. Her response was insensitive. The facts were correct. You were considered obese at that point in time. The question is How did you deal with the problem?

How do you know she does not have a problem with her feet and can not wear closed in shoes???? Maybe that is the only pair of shoes she has???? Don't judge untill you have all the facts. Shame, Shame.

Not around here. Not a peep from anyone in the entire county. Guess we rate right up there with the dust bunnies. You only find them when you when you have the unexpected (visitors) occurance.

All we do is place a copy of the exam in the health record. The coaches are responsible for all else. They setup the exams, they do all the paperwork. They make appt. with local MD to come to school. After it is all done a copy is sent to the clinic for placing in the record.

Support your State School Nurse Org. Join. Our nurses have worked for the county health department until this year. There was a mass resignation due to working conditions and each of us was hired by the school district. We now(if we wish) belong to the teachers union in the non-instructional catagory. Some are RN's ( I am). Some of us are LPN's and some are Health Aids.We were all paid the same until the negotations just over. Now we have different pay levels.
