  1. Hi Grumpy.....do you work in the area? I work full time too and am literraly starting my pre reqs. Think I am going to take math Anat. & english. and I work full time. do you know of any schools that might have at least a part time evening program? I will have to quit my job if I can't find one in a year, but I work for a hosp. so I really would love to upgrade my job from gofer to rn.
  2. hey my sister & will be starting our pre reqs there too, what classes are you going to take?
  3. Hey Everyone, My sister and I are starting our pre-req's @ LBCC this month. We would love to attend the RN program there, but hoping I will be able to fing an evening school locally. We should be able to apply for the RN program fall of 2008 :roll Any ways would love to meet a couple of people that might be attending at the same time.:biere:
  4. Hello, my sister in law started out 7 years ago when she was 32 and she just graduated as an RN in May, uuuuhhhhhh what's my excuse I thought! I am 28 and just starting out my reqs in aug. I never think it's too late, but I have been out of school for 10 and a 1/2 years and something I heard is not to let yourself fall behind, if you have been out of school for a while study till you drop so you can figure out how much time you really need to study. Good luck on your new adventure looks like were doing it together!!!!
  5. :uhoh21: Hello, I have 2 kids and have heard it is impossible to go to RN school and work part-full time. Is this true? I need to work because of the benifits and I am not completely sure if we can suvive without some of my income. In order for me to keep benifits I think the min. I can work is 32 hrs a week. I am starting my req for the program in aug. so I have about 1 year before I apply. Also has anyone heard of a evening/weekend schedule course? This is also another reason why I don't want to resign, I work for Kaiser here in CA........ It might be easier to get a job at this hosp. Info please? Thanks
