Thank you so much. I am canadian by birth and was told i will be paying in state since i was born in montreal. I do not plan on staying there when I am done but I have been told this is a good school so I will stick it out. This was so helpful. thanks again!

Has anyone here studied in Mcgill? Will be starting in september and wanted to find out how it was out there. Currently live in Illinois. Is it expensive, how diverse is it (culturally), are there opportunities for nurses when they graduate. Any answer will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I took A&P last semester and the one thing that helped me were flash cards, write the word at the back, explanation infront, i could study anywhere i went without a big book. Like the other people said, you have to study everyday. Goodluck to you

Hey everyone, This site is very educational and the stories also scare the living daylights out of me but I am still going thru with my application into nursing. Problem is when I visit all the websites for the universities in canada they say applications will be accepted starting mid september. It is now October and still nothing, am I looking at the wrong places. :oSomeone told me I had to apply thru osap, is that true? I dont want to sit and wait and miss my chance of maybe getting into a school. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all, I am canadian and will changing careers and moving out of the usa to study in canada. Thing is I am not sure what schools in canada are the good schools. I will be doing the 2 year program and I know UofT, UBC, a university in alberta and mcmaster university offer programs for people with bachelor degrees in different fields. Any idea if these schools are good schools, how easy or difficult it is to get financial aid and is it better to rent or stay in the dorms. thank you kindly

Hello all, I just joined this forum and I have been reading for the past 2 hours. I am 30 single with no kids and I want to change careers. I am in the business field now and want to go into nursing. I have been discouraged by so many people but I still want to do it. I am currenly volunteering in a hospital and I get trained by a CNA so I have not yet had the chance to speak to a nurse. I know there are a lot of nurses on this forum with a lot of experience. I recently took some science course bio, chem, A&P and I loved them so I know science is not a problem. I will have to quit my job and go back to school full time so I am scared out of my mind. :uhoh3:Does anyone have any advise as to what I can do to prepare myself for what lays ahead? When you became a nurse where you satisfied? Did you feel like you made the right decision? Any answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading
