Something I've noticed too. I was fired last month for forgetting to clock-in one morning. They let me work through the day, clock-out, go home, then called me to let me go over the phone. Sounds ridiculous? Yep. At least potential employers will think so too (hopefully). If I can get an interview, that is. Near impossible right now....

I have an interview on Monday and was wondering if anyone has any experience working in Memphis jails. I've read horrible stories and I've read great ones, but none about Memphis.

I'm currently enrolled in the LPN program at the DeSoto campus. I actually just got home from a busy clinical day (I love it!), so if this isn't helpful or makes no sense (so tired!), feel free to send me a message on here! Well, when I applied to the program, my GPA was NOT good, due to a very long story, lol. So they don't look at that too much. My ACT score was 24, but I believe they allowed everyone who had an ACT of 18 and higher to sit for the NET exam. In all honesty, I'm not sure what happens from there. I do know that out of over 100 people, 30 made it into the program at my campus (we're at 21 now). Call the director of nursing at whichever campus you'd like to attend (a lot of people apply to both, just to up their chances!), and see if she can sit and speak with you a bit about your GPA, ACT scores, and maybe fill you in a little on what you'd need to make on the NET exam to make it into the program. I tried a new one from the bookstore yesterday. Pentel RSVP. It's a nice, simple, nongel pen that writes incredibly smooth. I'm a very picky pen user and I give it a thumbs up;)
